Stanton with a HR and a double. Sex.
Also Uggla with a HR makes him the Marlins all-time HR leader.

Brett Wallace didn't do too well, thank god. Does anyone know if the Yankees are willing to give up Joda, along with prospects, for Downs

Jason Heyward and Strasburg might have something to say about that.

Buster Posey looks at his stats and laughs in their face, though, he takes an East Coast bias into consideration.

Is Joey Votto the NL MVP? Where does Cargo rank? His #s are quite ludicrous.

I just think it would be insane for a pitcher to win over an everyday player.

Yes Votto is the MVP, and Cargo is down the list because his patience is abysmal.

I don't agree as a rule, but this year I agree. Look Stras is godly but hasn't done enough for the award. We don't even know how that shoulder is or if he doesn't just get shut down. Look at 89 for example, Gregg Olsen won the award as a closer and deservingly so....

I'm not knocking Buster at all, I merely stated that you shouldn't, as a rule, not have pitchers in contention for ROY.

Olsen did not deserve it over Kevin Brown. I am fine with pitchers winning the award (and more often than not, they seem to deserve it), but closers should not win the award (or the Cy Young or the MVP).

I'll take Brown's great production in 191 innings over Olson's excellent production over 85 innings.

Yes Votto is currently the MVP just ahead of Albert Pujols.
1. Joey
2. Albert
3. Adrian

Ludicrous? I'll tell you what's ludicrous about Carlos Gonzalez' numbers. The fact that anyone would mention him in the NL MVP race with a line of .262/.279/.385 away from Coors Field. Yes, he gets on base well under 30% of the time when he's not hitting in the most hitter friendly environment this side of Lunar Stadium on the moon. And his IsoP is barely over .120. You know who has an IsoP over .120? Everyone this side Placido Polanco has an IsoP over .120.
Where does Carlos Gonzalez rank in the MVP race? Probably only slightly above Dan Uggle and Kelly Johnson (for positional adjustment)--the two players tied for 16th along with Gonzalez in the NL in wOBA.
Carlos Gonzalez for MVP? Get that out of here.
