They have been doing that this pre-season. He destroyed OT Tyler Polumbus against Denver (he's now on our roster).

That drive was nut bust worthy (even though it was just pre-season).

Best reminds me of Chris Johnson.

I know it's only preseason, but Stafford looks so much better than last year. If regular season Stafford looks anything like preseason Stafford then I like our chances to win more than a couple of games this year.

O-line looks better too, but the secondary continues to look like dung.

My notes from the game:
- Suh looked good, i love how he rushed the QB a few times playing DE and was able to stop a few runs up the middle as DT and even block a couple passes. Bottom line is, in 2 years this guy will be a pro bowler. Glad we drafted him
- O-line continues to impress, they got great pushes on 3rd and short, Stafford was only hurried 1 time, they opened up huge holes which led to Best's 51 yard run. If Gosder can stop making stupid penalties, this should be a 17th or 18th ranked O-line. By the way how good of a pick up was Rob Sims? Hes making that left side very easy to run for our backs, and hes making Jeff Backus look better. Very impressed with Sims.
- Stafford looks so comfortable, so confident, and so precise with his passes.
Last year my stomach would get butterflies when Stafford dropped back to pass now im just waiting for a completion and a first down. That 3rd and 17 connection to Calvin Johnson was beautiful. Its what we as Detroit Lions fans have been looking for, for a long time. You dont settle for a 2 yard pass to a running back, you throw long to get the first down, and we did. And the TD to BJ was great too, thats a Manning or Brees type throw. You get the bigger WR, throw just above his head with pin point accuracy, touchdown. Beautiful.
This guy is the real deal, and im confident the Detroit Lions, with Stafford at QB, will make the playoffs in the next 2-3 years.
- Jahvid Best is going to be the best runningback the Lions have seen since #20. I know thats not saying much because the Lions runningbacks have sucked since then, but every time this guy touches the ball, you're on the edge of your seat waiting for that big play....kinda like when Barry used to touch the ball. Amazing pick by the Lions, this guy when its all said and done will be the best RB in the 2010 draft class.
Defense: im not going to go too hard on them, there a few bright spots, Suh, Delmas, KVB, Peterson, Houston. But the other players need to step up. I know its only preseason but they looked so good against Denver, we definitely took a big step back. Delhomme went 20-25? thats unacceptable. Now i know we only gave up 17 points in the first half and a lot of those passes were 2 yarders, but they wore out our defense with those long, slow drives. In the end, thats going to kill our momentum and fatigue our defense, which obviously will result in losses. We need to blitz more, we need our linebackers to get better coverage, and we still need to tackle better. Also can we get a stop on 3rd down please?

I just had to stop in and say you guys are building a team. I am really excited about all of your young players.
When you guys drafted Best I got super excited cause I thought he was what the doctor ordered. Stafford looks like a seasoned pro.
You guys might want to get ready for this. I don't think it will be just two wins this season. You guys may win several. Great drafting over the past few years is paying off.
