as I said in the gameday thread, Gradkowski is the second coming of Jeff Garcia.

McFadden has just impressed me so much these last two games. He actually embraces contact now, he is just looking like a completely different player. It's goona be hard giving Bush carries if Mcfadden keeps looking this good.

DMC with over 100 yard rushing. Feels great having him healthy and a QB that knows how to win with this team.
Having the fans behind the D helps so much. Jackson was killing us in the 1st half and he hasnt done **** since

McFadden to me has always embraced contact. It's just that he would always get laid out.

Somewhat happy with what I saw. A win is a win even though it was the rams. DMC looks like he can handle the rock for us and hopefully when Bush is back we can use both correctly. Gradkowski is clearly our QB. The oline looked alot better in the 2nd half. Defense was lights out there for a minute, the fans got loud and look what happens we cause turn overs. DHB with 6 catches for 80 yards, welcome to the NFL

The O-line looks better without Jason "I'm gonna hold onto this ball for as long as possible until I can checkdown to the RB" Campbell? No way.....

Al Davis needs to leave Cable alone and let him do his thing. Jason Campbell must have been an Al Davis move. Bruce Grandkowski is the guy. I'm not saying he will put up insane numbers and we win 12 games, but I think we will compete every week with Bruce at QB.

I was at the game and let me tell you I was shocked we put in Bruce I thought they would be too stubborn. I almost took a put in Bruce sign too.

I was at the game and EVERYONE was chanting Bruce at the end of the first half. None of us actually thought Cable would put him in, but he's proven time and time again he can get it done and Cable was as good as gone if we lost. I cant describe how energized the team and whole stadium became once Bruce trotted on the field, I was completely shocked to see him out there. Congrats to Cable for having the balls to make that move. He just seemed 10x more accurate then Campbell and his quick decision making coupled with his ability to feel the rush are much more conducive to our o line and offensive capacity. Bruce HAS to start next week, right?
The playcalling was still a little sketchy. When we were supposed to be closing out the game with like 5 mins left and up two scores, deep in Stl territory, we passed 3 straight times, stopping the clock and eventually ending the drive with an interception. McFadden was beasting all day and all we needed was a fg to pretty much put the game out of reach. Also on the drive following Johnny Lees initial 57 yd punt return (love johnny lee as a returner thank God he's back in) we went for it on 4th and inches, handing it off to ... Marcel Reese up the middle on a fullback dive ... Everybody knows Reese's value lies in the passing game, he is nothing near a short yardage back. On more than a few occasions, I saw Reece with a chance to square up on a defender and run through them, only to watch him try to juke and run out of bounds. On one particular play, one of the screens, he could of easily got a first down if he had lowered his head a la mcfadden but sidestepped out of bounds and left like a 3rd and 2...I like him as a threat out of the backfield, but expect more from a guy playing fullback in the NFL. I wonder how effective he is as a lead blocker when I see him shying away from contact like that.
McFadden was running hard all day, 30+ carries with no fumbles running like that is a good sign. I also like how we are utilizing his strengths, getting him on the edge with pitches and stuff. When he gets out there he can gain positive yardage on his own.
I know it was the Lambs, but I also dont think they are as bad as last year. We missed Seymour in the middle hope hes good to go for next week. It was looking and feeling pretty bleak at halftime, but Bruce has an infectious energy about him, a genuine Jeff Garcia quality, it'll be interesting to see how the QB story develops this week.

Did Seymour play? I didnt really pay attention to the D that much, more focused on what we were doing on offence. I have the game recorded on DVR and will watch it again closely tomarrow and give a better review but that 3rd and 4th quarter was what Raiders football was all about. Controlled offence that is balanced and a defense that brings energy to the team

In my mind the two unsung heros of week two for us had to be John Henderson and Daniel Loper. Henderson should see increased PT in a rotation with Kelly as a result, and Loper, if he continues to play well in both phases and remains discplined, could possibly unseat Carlisle once Gallery is back. I wouldn't even mind testing him out at center and focusing Veldheer's reps at the tackle spots.
