yeah that is a very nice position, Draft can play his natural position as a 4-3 SLB. Does this change the Rams' draft plans or are they still in the market for a SLB?

i dont think they were ever in the market for a 1st round SLB, brandon chillar had a very nice season last year and the rams coaching staff rave about him......DT will be the rams 1st round choice whether it be Branch, Okoye or trade doen for Tank Tyler.

Good job by the Rams bringing him in; I wish the Packers would do something

Huge signing bringing in a true shut down corner like that.

I expected them to sign him after we got Cato June. It's an under-the-radar move but he is a solid vet and he has filled in well for injured LBs in the past. I think the fact that we didn't sign him means that Quarles is returning for another year.

The Rams have had a great off-season so far. Lets hope they carry that into the draft and into next season.

Very good signing. I feel that Draft is a big upgrade in their linebacker corps. I feel that this signing will take them out of the running for a 1st Rd linebacker.

I kind of wanted him on the Lions, but I'm not sure if he is the type of MLB they are looking for.

Draft can't play SLB, he's too small and doesn't shed blockers well enough. I loved the guy in Carolina, but I guess the Rams love to over pay for our former linebackers.
Adios Draft, enjoy riding pine for the rest of your career.

Well Ive been slating the Rams to use a day 1 pick on a SLB, Stewart Bradley, a player I know they have shown interest in...does this change that?
Honestly outside of DT, Im not seeing any pressing needs for this team. I would say they could use help also at CB, LB, OG and HB...

Chris Draft strikes me as a great depth player. He's not explosive enough to play WILL. He is undersized, and isn't that great at shedding blocks, to play at MIKE or SAM at a high level. He can be a stop-gap, I guess.

He was a good stop gap in Carolina, but he had one of the best defensive lines in the NFL in front of him that includes to massive space eaters and the league's best Defensive End.
Then on the strong side he's got Thomas Davis who's always flying around. No where else in the league but Carolina could he have got the tackles he did. In St Louis he's going to sit on his ass and then maybe step in if someone gets hurt.

He didnt do too bad in ATL either. He got about 130 tackles one season. Hes not a guy you ever want to be starting for you but he can provide some decent production if you don't have anyone better.
