Price placed on IR
Quote:
Defensive tackle Brian Price’s rookie campaign will be ending prematurely. Due to a pelvic fractuce the Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed Price on injured reserve.
Price, who was a second-round pick (35th overall) out of UCLA in the 2010 NFL Draft, missed the last two games because of a pelvic injury. The 6-foot-1, 303-pound Price had six tackles with one tackle for a loss in five games this season.
The Buccaneers now have three defensive tackles on the roster with Gerald McCoy, Roy Miller, and Ryan Sims. Sims and newly acquired Alex Magee, who can play defense tackle and end, will now see more snaps with Price out for the season.

Awesome. Just awesome.
More Sims, great. He's meh as a backup NT, there needs to be better depth.
Magee?

FWIW, Pewter Report is saying that we signed Al Woods (LSU) from Pittsburgh practice squad.

Disappointing. D-Line injuries are really something we need to avoid. Hopefully he can get healthy and have a crack at starting next year.

You should be pleased with Woods and I hope you do more with him than we did...that except for that game we play against you at the end of the season.

Screw it. Nothing is better than rubbing a victory into the face of a friend, even if you do end up wearing a silly sig. I'll wear this sig for a month and basically be able to talk smack for the next 4 years.

I just hope this doesnt become career lingering. Any other known cases of pelvic fractures around the NFL?

I couldn't find any, I am chalking this up as a spot that will have to be addressed in the 2011 draft to replace him. We have seen the best/last of him in a Bucs uniform.
