Meh, nothing too outrageous. The Lakers are driving a bit more causing more fouls.

So the Lakers will probably go on a run once Rose comes out because he played most if not all of that 3rd quarter. Now its the CJ Watson throw away show.

so Udonis Haslem might be out for the season.
I hope people don't start making excuses, the Heat would be raping teams if they had Udonis Haslem back!!!

Pretty poor shooting night from the Bulls and they pretty much stayed neck and neck with the Lake show. Very encouraging, especially the defense. Can't wait until Boozer is back, although Taj is beasting.
Oh, Derrick with 30 8 and 5. Eat your heart out Monta.
And Noah abused Gasol all night. It was sexy.

How come so many people are complaining about the Lakers defense? They give up 100.5 ppg, but they score 111.5 ppg. That's a difference of 11 ppg, which is tops in the NBA. Opponents are shooting a lousy 42.8% from the field against them, which ranks 2nd in the NBA. Finally, opponents are only shooting 33.5% from 3 point land against them, which ranks 7th in the NBA.
They only stand to get better when Bynum returns.

Yeah last night was basically the first time this season we were presented with a real reason not to have Pau as the full time center.

I'm not sure you are familiar with how defense works.
How many points you score has no effect on whether your defense is good or bad. Just because you score 11 points more than you give up does not mean your defense isn't bad.
Just so you know, it doesn't matter what they are limiting their opponents to in terms of shooting %. They are still letting them score 100 ppg. That's not good. It's not terrible, but still, it's enough to complain about.
Now, that doesn't mean the Lakers aren't good. Anytime you score 11 ppg more than you give up you are going to be good. But that just means their offense is really good. But if you can't stop anyone from scoring, you are screwed if you offense has an off night.

He looked like Memphis/first year LA Pau. It looked like he was intimidated by Noah's physical play.
Noah had 19 pts, 13 boards, 3 assists, 4 steals, and 3 blocks (also 4 fouls) against mainly Pau all night and sometimes Odom. That's just sexy.

Darko essentially did the same thing, but Pau had an ok second half.

Like I said, Rose is incredible. He played great and is carrying his team.

I'm just giving you a hard time on the Monta comment, so hopefully no hard feelings.
Btw, Rose is the only player in the top 25 of assists/game to average 25 points or more (next is Kobe at 29th in assists), and is the only person in the league to average 25+ and 5+. fap fap fap fap fap

He shouldn't defer to Boozer when he gets back...Thibs is unintentionally using him correctly. As a scorer first and passer 2nd. Good to see Rose not be passive.

I agree with this, but if teams are still double teaming Rose whenever they run a pick and roll with Boozer, Boozer will keep making them pay. That makes Rose even more dangerous.

Phil Jackson has single handed destroyed the Heat. All he did was suggest that Pat Riley was coming to replace Coach Spo. and now, look at the reaction...clearly they cannot get the noob coach out now. He will continue to allow the Heat to play straight up lazy basketball.
I am not really as hateful towards Miami as I've been coming off in some of my posts about them, but this is pretty classic Phil. mind games in spades.

He took 7 3's because he was open. He hit 3 of them which isn't bad. And he is a great free throw shooter. He's no Rondo. He's 79% from the line this year. At Kentucky he was 75% from the free throw line. As far as how he looked last night they definitely pushed him too early. He was basically limping the whole game and couldn't attack the hoop like he usually does. He was in too much pain to play in overtime.

I think in due time Blake Griffin will be the superior player to Dwight Howard.
BG just can't block shots.

Landry Fields is pretty damn impressive for a second round pick/rookie. Athletic and a good defender. Hustles a ton too.
