Bradford, as a leader of this football team, has to smack some sense into Dillon.
It's time to ******* grow up, man. Allegedly this not a suspension originating from one incident, instead Kiffin was said to have decided to suspend Dillon after "examining his seven months here."

Dillon will grow up fast, i think that is what Lane is doing this for. He needs to learn that if he continues to do dumb ****, there is going to be punishment. Im glad that Lane did something about it.

Kiffin already leaving his mark on the team. Tyler named starter over Bradford. Also of note, freshmen Robert Woods and Nickell Robey earned starting jobs, and Kennard beat out Galippo.
The latter isn't all that suprising, but still, wow.

USC and Michigan are in a ******* battle to see who can get the most negative publicity this off-season.
This time, Lane Kiffin suspended freshman DB Patrick Hall indefinitely for unspecified reasons.

Wow that defense against Hawaii, what a joke.
However Perry did not play and clearly TJ Bryant not having him at corner is a huge issue. But them practicing free contact is not the way to go but clearly they had to because of injury.
Hopefully that was why they played so soft. Offense looked great, Tyler that is quite an improvement he made. I liked how the offensive line played as well.
Good note on the defense, watch out for Kennard, he is going to be a beast for Monte in that Tampa 2 defense, what an outstanding athlete he is at linebacker and I feel he is strong enough to get off blocks as well. He could have a monster year.
Just not the same without Pete, but big thing is the focus on defense, hopefully Monte can turn it around because clearly Kiffin knows very little about improving that side of the ball. I still say defense first, that is what made USC great and that is what will make them great in the future.
Last year is proof, the best defensive teams, Alabama and Texas were in the National Title game, heck even look at Nebraska, great defense, poor offense but so what they were still successful in the end because of that defense. Any team can play good offense, note Hawaii, Texas Tech in the past, SMU currently....The big boys play D and I hope the Trojans D can turn it around, because at least they got players there and talent at many positions.

If USC finishes 10-3 this season would have been a success. The offense is playing out of their minds and we would have lost only 3 games (2 by last second field goals). and 2 to top 5 teams.
USC is ranked 116/120 in pass defense.
If Monte can either get it done or if LK gets the guts to fire his dad and bring in someone younger with a better game plan we'll be back on top soon.
Also, the way Barkley is playing now... think about how good he can be if he stays until his senior year (considering he progresses fully).

Monte isnt going anywhere, our defense was going to get gashed this year anyways because theyre just not ready to be an elite unit yet. First year in a new system and just a bunch of guys who just didnt perform this year.
And Monte is still getting used to the college game. His defense is set for a pass first offense which you see every week in the NFL, in the college game hes seeing spread offenses and read option....things he never saw in the NFL. Monte is one of the brightest defensive minds in the game, he will be just fine.
