I did watch him at Oregon, and nothing about him tells me he should have been a running back taken in the top three rounds.

I think it would have improved their team in the long run if they had taken an elite CB instead of Peterson, and developed a late round RB.

Yeah, every year more and more RBs are doing it, and it has always been common knowledge that RBs are the easiest players to make the transition from college to pro, so i'm all for using your top picks at other skill positions and creating a good cohesive offensive line. After that you can pretty much just plug in anyone back there and have a good running game.

It's horrible revisionist history to say that Revis is a better pick than AD now. Revis was a good prospect but no where AD as a prospect. Its not as if Good Corners can be completely schemed away. Even though the Bengals have the 6th best defense against No.1 receivers they have the 20th best overall defense.

Postional value is important but equally important is how good the prospect actually is. The Cardinals made that mistake and ended up with the turnstile that is Levi Brown.

Also AD is being paid 41 Million over 6 years. I would easily pay that money to one of the most consistent backs in the league.

That seems cheap to me. The Chiefs got a bargain IMO. Maybe running back prices are coming down to a more realistic level now that it's more of a known fact that they wear down quick and get hurt more than any other position. He's young and seems to stay healthy. Good build and a running style that avoids big hits, and KC is smart with him. I would be very happy if I were a Chiefs fan.

Good move. Wish they'd trade him to the Giants for Bradshaw.

I wouldn't ever spend a first round pick on a back, even a guy like Peterson. The Vikings, for instance, could have picked Ahmad Bradshaw in the later rounds instead of Peterson in the first round of that 2007 draft, received about 85% of the production of Peterson, and instead spent their first round pick on a shutdown corner such as Darelle Revis or Leon Hall and would have had a superior defense, which is far more valuable than any RB.
This has to be one of the funnier post I've read on here.

I think their chances of winning a Super Bowl last year, or any year for that matter, with Revis/Hall+Bradshaw instead of Peterson would be greatly improved.
Adrian Peterson does so much more for our team that Ahmad Bradshaw could ever dream of doing.

Well there is a huge difference. One is a was a sick player in college and was a very good prospect. The other was a late round pick. To Bradshaw's credit, at one point he was leading the NFL in rushing. If he can fix his fumbling, I think he can be a very productive back. But now it's up to him to work in the off season to protect the ball.

It's a shame because if he could get that under control, he would be even more productive. However, AP is a great back, and one who I liked watching since college.

But in my opinion, Darelle Revis + Ahmad Bradshaw, or Leon Hall + Ahmad Bradshaw, is more valuable to a team than just Adrian Peterson.

The most important piece to an offense, the starting QB, was out. I'm not surprised.

How come Charles is talking about how bad the Chargers D is in the postgame...piss off buddy your entire team just got held to 60 total yards. 16 in the second half when you should have been trying to make a comeback.

15 of that 16 on the last drive of the game.

Didn't you know? Once you buy someone's jersey, you automatically become a member of the team! That's what SWDC taught me anyways.

Technically, you just need a cap.

Honestly, 90% of the Jets players suck. Still hate when other people bash them besides me... Or another Jets fan.
