Im fairly positive if he did, holden would "reconsider" or something. You don't deny a release to give them the starting spot. You deny it to feel superior to a 19 year old by controlling his future.

That's kind of a dbag move. Let the kid leave if its what he wants, not his fault you can't keep QBs and will have no depth because of it.

Oh, I agree with you. I don't know what the hell went on and why they denied it. It's going to bite them in the ass and make this thing huge. I just wished Joe would retire and let some new faces deal with everything or start over.

Yea, I have nothing against JoePa, and really he should just leave, but you don't "deny" someone's release if the intent is to bring them back and give them a shot to start. The fact that the family is upset about it pretty much proves that.

This is right up there with adults that bad mouth recruits that don't pick their school. If a kid changes his mind or for whatever reason doesn't want to attend your school anymore, so be it. Bolden has done nothing to deserve an 80 year old man and his staff messing with his college career just because he doesn't want to play for them anymore. I have no idea what a staff is thinking to deny someone's request to transfer.
