Default 4th Annual Commie Awards... and more!

THE 4th ANNUAL
COMMIE AWARDS
Presenting the Best in Motion Pictures for the year 2010

In past years, ive rushed these in order to have them done before the Oscar Nominations came out so that it doesnt seem like im just ripping them off (I seem to have similar taste to the academy). However, doing that resulted in me missing a handful of movies every year that would have likely been represented in my awards had I seen them beforehand.

Because of that, Im not giving myself the Oscar Nom deadline this year, nor will I in any future years. Instead, I intend to finish the list of movies that I want to see (none of which are in theaters, on dvd, or anywhere online right now) before I announce my nominees and winners.

What im going to do in the meantime, as I wait these last few 2010 movies out, is catch up on some of the 07-09 films that I let slip past me due to my deadlines. After I finish catching up, I plan on doing revised Nominees/Awards for each year as I lead up to doing 2010. So look out for the revised 2007 list here sometime in the next week or so.

Sean Penn was amazing in Milk. Both deserved it, but I can't disagree with the nod.
