I was going to guess Clemson based on recruiting violations recent rumors, The Quackers are kind of a surprise. Then again it was sudden move Belotti made to AD -- this might explain it & its timing a yr ago.

I was suspicious when the Black Mamba changed so late....especially after the fact that he was a USC commit for about a year, and UO didnt start recruiting him till about a month before NSD.

I don't see how this is breaking violations. They paid for a recruiting service and then services were rendered. If this is breaking a rule than Cam Newton needs to give his trophy back. Also isn't it the school that reported what they were doing?

On the surface what Oregon did is legal. Paying for recruiting services is above board. Supposedly most programs do it. The question is, why was Oregon picked out? They paid these services with U of O checks and they are listed on their financial records so they were obviously not trying to hide what they were doing. Right now Oregon is not guilty of anything until it is proven that they actually did something illegal and simply paying and using recruiting services is not illegal.

The problem is if these two men recruited for Oregon they are boosters and schools aren't allowed to funnel money back to boosters. There is only so much access a school is allowed to have with recruits and this is a way around it.

Whether the illicit part of the deal happened of not is still up in the air. They do have the payment and the results, there is just the one missing piece of evidence of the conversations and that would be hard to come by if they occurred or not.

Also to clarify what I had heard about the recruiting services and why what the unknown school did was illegal...

If a recruiting service offers their abilities to schools at $5000/recruit, the unknown school would pay the recruiting service $20,000. This would give them a far greater chance of landing the recruit.
