Last year's team = $$$$$$$$

I think I did pretty well.
Also added Morrow $$$, Scherzer $$$, Hart $$$, Hudson $$ and Axford $.

Last year my guy was Cargo and obviously that paid HUGE dividends...

I cannot expect a repeat performance but here's what I'm seeing so far in terms of value where guys are ranked:

- - - Joe Mauer
- - Carl Crawford
+++ Prince Fielder
+++ Mark Teixeira
+ Matt Kemp
++ Jose Reyes
- Adam Wainwright
- - CC Sabathia
+ Jon Lester
- Zack Greinke
- - - - Adrian Beltre
+ Kendry Morales
- Brandon Phillips
++++ Tommy Hanson
+++ Jay Bruce
- - - - - Ichiro Suzuki
- - Andre Ethier
- - Jayson Werth

+ Brandon Morrow
+ Jacoby Ellsbury
++++ Curtis Granderson
++ Brett Anderson
+++ Adam Jones
- Grady Sizemore
++ Carlos Beltran
++ Manny Ramirez
+++ Jeremy Hellickson
+ Mike Napoli
+ James Shields

- Paying for/using high picks on closers
- Paying for/using high picks on speed guys with limited power
+ Waiting on 2B for Aaron Hill, Gordon Beckham, Howie Kendrick, or Chone Figgins
+ Mets pitchers late (specifically Chris Young)
+ Drafting the BEST PLAYER (BEST STATS) AVAILABLE ON YOUR BOARD instead of worrying about positional scarcity and overvaluing infielders.

I'm absolutely lost/intrigued with the following players:

Any catcher before round 12 - If Santana is sitting there in round seven, why not pull the trigger instead of taking another OF? Most sites advise against drafting catchers early in leagues with just one C spot though...
David Wright - 10 HRs two years ago still haunts. Is the 20+ SBs and 3B eligibility worth passing on a 40+ HR potential 1B? I DON'T KNOW!!!!
Ryan Howard - His #s are on a steady decline but why can't they go back up a little? He's not THAT old, right?
Jose Bautista - 54 isn't happening again but is 40 with .250ish and 10 steals possible? Probable?
Justin Upton - Finally the year he puts it all together? Cargoish #s?
Jason Heyward - Will this be the last year you can get him outside of the first round?
Michael Young - Model of consistency, right? But it has to end sometime...
Francisco Liriano - Injury risk?
Alexei Ramirez - Why exactly is he rated so high?
Alex Rios - Classic underachiever but his #s were pretty good last year. Why is he rated below his SS?
Aramis Ramirez - Finished strong. But what is he at this point?
B.J. Upton - The potential is always there.
Dan Haren - Full season in the AL will do what?
Carlos Pena - He won't hit under .200 again, but the Cubs offense is a lot worse than the Rays? How about the park?
Derrek Lee - You can get a guy real late who was a star just two years ago.
Adam Lind - Some places predict a big bounce-back.
Colby Lewis - Ks repeat?
Jorge De La Rosa - Stuff is good, team will be good. Potential 15-17 game winner?
Edinson Volquez - Lost.
Daniel Hudson - He was RIDICULOUS last season. So where's the hype?
Jordan Zimmerman - Difficult to trust any WAS pitcher.
Michael Pineda - Hearing a lot of sleeper talk.
Jose Tabata - Difficult to trust any Pirates player period.

Any BoSox fans on here? Should I pick up John Lackey and drop the Rockies SP De La Rosa?

Alright guys I need some help here. I only have 1 move left and I'm trying to decide whether to pick up Jordan Walden or put in a waiver for Delmon Young who just got dropped.

My Lineup looks like this:

C: JP Arencibia
1B: Miguel Cabrera
2B: Reid Brignac
3B: Aramis Ramirez
SS: Alcides Escobar
OF: Matt Kemp
OF: Torii Hunter
OF: Carlos Lee
UTIL: David Ortiz
BN: Brandon Belt and Carlos Beltran
DL: Chase Utley

SP: Cliff Lee
SP: Max Scherzer
RP: Carlos Marmol
RP: Jose Valverde
P: Francisco Cordero
P: Aroldis Chapman
P: Jose Contreras
P: Jake McGee
BN: Javi Vazquez, Jeremy Hellickson, Kyle Drabek and Michael Pineda.
DL: Brandon Morrow

Now waiting for Delmon is a bit of a risk since I have the lowest waiver priority in the league at 14 in a league of 14. But the upside is, more than half the league is out of moves.

I am pretty well set with three dominant closers but this is a great opportunity to add another, but Delmon would also upgrade my OF over Carlos Lee and become an everyday starter for me.

What do you guys think? and WHO do i drop for one of them!?

I would definitely go after Delmon. If you could pick up a guy like that in a 14 team league, you have to take a shot at it. As to who to drop, that's a tough one. I would probably lean towards one of those RPs or maybe Brandon Belt?

I'm not a fan of Desmond, so this is pretty easy. Castro. I like Castro a lot more than Desmond, b/c 3 out of my 4 leagues are points leagues all of which count Ks and BBs, so that probably affects my thought process even more.

Is Desmond Jennings a must add right now in the midst of Manny retiring?

I have huge holes at 2B (Utley out) and SS where my starter right now is Alcides Escobar.

I am starting Sean Rodriguez currently at 2b and am thinking about keeping him there to see what he does. But these options are out there right now: Juan Uribe, Marco Scutaro and Ty Wigginton. The first two are SS and 2B eligible, while Ty is just 2B. Should I pick up any of these guys or just go with what I have, and who would it be if I was to get one of them?

I know this is late... way late but i would not make that trade. Drabek is currently doing alright were Alvarez has been struggling and striking out a lot.

Do you guys think that JJ Hardy is worth the pick up at this point?

Someone just dropped Chris Carpenter in my league....pick up?
I need to drop Ricky Nolascblows, so a SP is a must for me.
Also available are Bumgarner and Cueto....thinking one of those 3.

League is 10 teams, H2H, 5x5 stats.

They're pretty equal I think either way it's not a bad trade on either side, pending your depth of course.

Last year my guy was Cargo and obviously that paid HUGE dividends...

I cannot expect a repeat performance but here's what I'm seeing so far in terms of value where guys are ranked:

- - - Joe Mauer
- - Carl Crawford
+++ Prince Fielder
+++ Mark Teixeira
+ Matt Kemp
++ Jose Reyes
- Adam Wainwright
- - CC Sabathia
+ Jon Lester
- Zack Greinke
- - - - Adrian Beltre
+ Kendry Morales
- Brandon Phillips
++++ Tommy Hanson
+++ Jay Bruce
- - - - - Ichiro Suzuki
- - Andre Ethier
- - Jayson Werth
++ Stephen Drew
+++++ Mike Stanton
- - - - Vlad Guerrero
+ Mark Reynolds
+ Elvis Andrus
+ Max Scherzer
+ Pablo Sandoval
- - - Casey McGehee
+ Brandon Morrow
+ Jacoby Ellsbury
++++ Curtis Granderson
++ Brett Anderson
+++ Adam Jones
- Grady Sizemore
++ Carlos Beltran
++ Manny Ramirez
+++ Jeremy Hellickson

Bump this post and listen to me EVERY year.
