We probably don't need to bring in many UDFAs because it would be hard pressed to imagine one winning a roster spot, but it doesn't hurt to speculate.

That's exactly right, on both counts.

I agree with Maehl. I think he's better than Swain, but is he as strong on special teams? Maybe not.

I want to bring in every possible pass-rushing OLB.

Could Noel Devine make this roster as a stat-back, and a KR specialist?

I seriously don't understand how Maehl didn't get drafted... I remember this kid making big plays in every big game Oregon had last year. Also I think he had some of the top numbers in the agility drills at the combine. There were 2 WRs with similiar skill sets as Maehl drafted ( cant remember names ), and both I think were less talented. Confused....

Not sure on Devine, don't know much about him to be honest.

Mark Herzlich - if only for a look, the talent is still there.

Steven Friday - another OLB prospect, undersized but made plays for VTech.

Dane Sanzenbacher - could provide competition for Brett Swain...

These are the only guys that could have a chance of making the roster.


Devine could be the change of pace 4th RB
Burney could probably take over from Lee or Underwood as the 5th CB
Maehl is definitely better then Swain
