Completely absurd. He'd be the highest paid goalie in the league if he makes near that much.

I just don't get it. They go out and are cheap with goalies, then now they are going to overpay for one. They're already in cap heat anyways even if they raise the cap to the rumored 65(or is it 64?) million. They're stupid.

Not to mention Vokoun is a better goalie than Bryzgalov on the free agent market. It's not like there's only one goalie to be had this summer and they gotta overpay to get him.
What other teams are in the market for an elite goalie?

Tampa is probably the most prominent one.

I'm not really sure we have the money to, though. We have to focus most of our funds on securing Stamkos long term, something that has taken longer than usual. We also need to figure out what we are going to do at our defensemen position, since Eric Brewer was our best and he will likely hit the market.

Jay Mohr (!?) is hosting.

Mohr's a big hockey guy. He's a terrible host, though. I'm not sure how he keeps getting gigs.

NHL realigning to four divisions? 30 isn't divisible by 4 evenly. Wouldn't they be walking right into an MLB-like conundrum of competitive equality?

New York R,. New York I., New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Boston, Montreal, Ottawa

Pacific and the East are absolutely stacked.

Looks like Regehr may be headed to Buffalo. Dreger says he's being asked to waive his NMC, says deal is basically done other than that.

Pittsburgh vs Vancouver to open up the season. Could be a Stanley Cup preview.

Damn. They lose Carter, but get even better with the potential of Voracek and a first round pick. Jesus.

Rumors that Mike Richards could go to LA for Schenn and Simmonds.
Edit: It's now official. LOL. This deal sucks for Philly IMO. LA is now really improved.

Wow, I know they liked Giroux, but damn. That's pretty drastic. You win Cups with guys like Mike Richards.

Always uneasy to see what we'd be giving up, but he could be a very good piece for us. Weber is not reliable enough to fill the role that he would and everybody else that I'd care to see back is more offensive-minded.
I think Myers can take the step to being a top, top defenseman this year.
(AHL Defenseman of the Year) Gragnani showed huge potential in the playoffs, Weber can still be a solid 3rd-pairing guy, Leopold and Regehr can be okay top-4 pieces. Sekera is the guy I'd want back over Butler and definitely over Morrisonn's ridiculous cap hit. Still really early in the offseason, though, and this move isn't even done.

There aren't as many bars in Columbus than there are in Philadelphia so he'll probably have around 80 goals.
Hate losing Richards, absolutely pissed about that. Seems to be a bit of an unnecessary deal. If it's a cap move, Ilya Bryzgalov is nowhere near worth that amount. I don't think they are done dealing.
