NFL Mock Draft - Final Voting
Thank you for to everyone who voted.
...and Congratulations to the following 3 teams (who will remain unanimous until voting is completed).
Teams that were eliminated:
Pool A - Team 2 (D-Unit), Team 3 (Eaglez.Fan)
Pool B - Team 1 (Cardsalltheway), Team 3 (tom)
Pool C - Team 1 (Hhyundridz), Team 2 (GermaineRace)
-- Rules/Idea --
QB, RB, WR, WR, RB/WR, TE
3-4 Defense or 4-3 Defense
The idea was to build a franchise from scratch that would go on forever (not necessarily to try win the Superbowl immediately).
Teams are separated into 3 Pools (grouped by draft order).
Considering the idea behind this mock, vote for the one you think is best. Some teams have chosen to build 3-4 Defenses versus 4-3 Defenses. Consider the system and the players that fit in their defense when you judge.
All votes will be tallied on Monday 12PM on the NFLDC Time Clock to determine the winner of each Pool.
************************************************** **********
Team 1:
QB Eli Manning
RB Shaun Alexander/Willie Parker
WR Steve Smith/Anquan Boldin
TE Jason Witten
DE Mario Williams/Robert Mathis
DT Igor Olshansky/Haloti Ngata
OLB Lance Briggs/Derrick Johnson
MLB Lofa Tatupu
CB DeAngelo Hall/Chris Gamble
S Mike Doss/Michael Lewis
Team 2:
QB Matt Hasselback
RB Ladanian Tomlinson/Steven Jackson
WR Randy Moss/Hines Ward
TE Jeremy Shockey
DE Derrick Burgess/Michael Strahan
DT Jamal Williams/Booger Mcfarland
OLB Joey Porter/Nick Barnett
MLB Antonio Pierce
CB Rashean Mathis/Ken Lucas
S Ed Reed/Mike Brown
Team 3:
QB Donovan McNabb
RB Rudi Johnson/Lamont Jordan
WR Torry Holt/Marvin Harrison
TE Alge Crumpler
DE Dwight Freeney/Patrick Kerney
DT Marcus Stroud/Kris Jenkins
OLB Lavar Arrington/D.J. Williams
ILB Al Wilson
CB Champ Bailey/Dunta Robinson
S Sean Taylor/Bob Sanders
* Remember: The idea was to build a franchise from scratch that would go on forever (not necessarily to try win the Superbowl immediately). ...and consider defensive player fits in each system (3-4 and 4-3).

Wow did I get royally screwed. I could have beaten teams 1 and 2 but I was matched up with Team 3 and if we were building for the future like I thought we were I should have run closer if not beaten him too. O well it was a fun draft.

I would have to go with team 1. They have to best youth and have a couple of solid leaders aswell.

I have to go with team 3 on this one. That defense is so spectacular, it has some experience but certainly isnt old, all of those guys shouldnt start declining for awile. The offense is the eldest in here but once again Harrison is the only one on it the rest are still in their 20's.

Team 1 gets my vote. Team 3 was second on my list, and not by much.

the defense is filled with high charcter leaders and teh 2 most underated corners in teh league in mathis and lucas who are both physical good tacklers and good in man to man coverage,...linebacker provides the

DE features a pass rusher(burgess)along with a solid all round veteran in strahan who can do both,...and the saftey position speaks for itself,...
but browns nature of injurys is a risk but his reward is even greater because hes a allround saftey whos physical and when he gets his hands on the ball he takes it to the house
Overall this teams filled with leaders and overacheivers and would be an
ideal situation for any coach to build around, which is why they had the BEST
draft.

Well if this is to go on for "forever", I'd have to say Team 1. The only issue with that I see with the team is Shaun Alexander, but I imagine that if it's a tandem, he could take the back seat like The Bus did and play for several years more. Not only does Team 3 have an injury-prone Kris Jenkins, but McNabb, Holt, Harrison, Freeney, Wilson, and Bailey aren't all too young. But, they were at least second.
