This Athletics-Indians game is ridiculous.
Top of the 16th. Cleveland just snapped a streak of 24-straight batters that failed to reach base. Would have been a mid-game "perfect game" with 3 more outs, haha.
Why have the managers not used a single pinch hitter? Only one position player has been replaced and it came as a pinch runner.

b/c our pinch hitters aren't good. everyone was trying to hit a walk-off HR in their ab, wtf?

What a crappy way to end a 16 inning battle. It wasn't as bad a call as that Pirates/Braves debacle (I think those were the teams) earlier in the year, but it shouldn't have been difficult to call. I know the A's aren't in the race or anything, but umps shouldn't be giving away games like that.
Unrelated note, apparently CoJack to the BoSox.

9 wins in a row, starting pitching has been insane during the streak possibly even a sub 1 era
I think we even might of possibly been on espn for like 12 seconds

Psh, they have their designated 35 minutes set aside for the Yankees/Red Sox game and the rest is football. Stop lying.

You guys will actually see a Giants lineup without Tejada or Rowand supporting Timmy and Cain. Look out.

well you get Ian Kennedy who seems like he is 10-0 vs Lincecum/Cain
actually only 1-0 :(
with a 0.75 ERA in 3 starts, 24 innings

Whoever wins the series is gonna win the division. Hopefully Bochy realizes his strategy of playing 35 year olds every day isn't working and actually plays Crawford, Sanchez, and most importantly Pill (who raped AAA this season).

he needs to play Huff, only guy in your lineup who hits vs us
and unless you sweep the series it doesn't really mean much(if we sweep the series the division is basically on lock)

Damn just saw were 6 games back, i thought it was 4. Unless you guys pull a 2010 San Diego choke the division is yours.

was literally just Montero's HR and then Putz's last pitch, a whole 2 pitches of coverage for a team that has won 9 in a row
don't forget the Phillies btw, they played their entire game on sports center then talked about it for a bit before getting to the D'Backs

there are 6 games against the diamond backs before the end of the season. they have a pretty soft schedule between now and the end, so there is still a chance.

You understand how TV works right. They're going to cater to the millions and millions of Yankees/Red Sox fans over the thousands of D'Back fans. People ***** about it all the time, but it's never going to change anything.

Unfortunately, this. If you don't even sellout your games, you don't get to complain about ESPN coverage.

Haha true. I saw a guy jump over 3 rows of empty seats to try and catch the Montero HR.

I actually think Montero is going to come up and do well given the AB's. He's had a much better 2nd half going .286/.352/.558 with 11 HR's.

Oakland and Cleveland are playing right now after last night's game? Wish I had known before so I could have taken the under on whatever the total was. Probably 7.5/8.

Jesus ******* christ.
Jim Leyland just did it again. Used a player making his major league debut in a tie game, 2 runners in scoring position game with only 1 out.
Is he the dumbest ******* man alive?
A) Yes B) Yes C) Yes D) All of the Above

Yeah, the strength of the Giants remaining schedule doesn't mean anything. They've already been playing weak teams the past 2 weeks and have still been getting crushed. The Giants are finished. Congrats Fenikz.

If Bochy plays Crawford, Belt, Pill, and occasionally throws in Hector Sanchez in the lineup every day then i'll have hope.
In other news, i came across this old classic yet beautiful photo:
Good times, good times

Goodbye, Chicago White Sox!
Tigers come from 7 runs down to beat Chicago on a walkoff homer by Miguel Cabrera.
