I think Spurrier is playing games right now, honestly. He said Shaw is starting the 1st quarter, Garcia is coming in the 2nd. And then he'll decide who's playing the second half. :/
They've both had great camps, but I think Garcia certainly gives SCAR the better opportunity for this year. I think Spurrier is sending another message to Garcia, once again.

Wisconsin better shore up that run defense or they're gonna struggle later on in the season.

UNLV should probably just quit. Seriously.
Peter Konz with the block on the outside on that screen. He's looked real good. Probably as good as you can against UNLV.

Well, they are playing a 2 win team from last year that lost a bunch.
The offense looks about how they should, but the defense looks really out of it. They are facing a team that averaged barely over 100 yards a game last year, and have more than that in the first half. They need to work on that before the conference season starts.

The defense looks so soft but I think that's more because of their lead. They're not amped up anymore. The first couple series, the defense was good. If I'm wrong, and they're really as bad as they looked the last couple of UNLV drives then they are certainly in trouble.

Ya, I mean it is just the first game. But this is a team that allowed just over 100 yards rushing a game last season. A team that averaged just over 100 had 105 in the first half. Either they just aren't trying, or they are still learning. Both are a little concerning if you're Wisconsin.
Also, Borland looks pretty awful so far.
I really just can't wait until they have to face Nebraska. That will be the true test, especially since they will run a similar offense to UNLV albeit a lot better.

It's only against Western Carolina, but Georgia Tech looks like they might have a decent passing attack this year. I think they may finish second in the Coastal Division.

Booooo Wisconsin stat padding. Should have given the ball to the FB for that TD instead of shamelessly boosting Monte Ball's numbers.

gonna be tough. they gotta play Nebraska, Michigan State, @Ohio Stadium (revenge game), and the B1G championship if they get through all that. I don't think their run defense is that good. It wasn't that good last year.

I'll go out on a limb and say Wisconsin isn't winning it all. I like their chances more than a Florida State or LSU, though.

lol. That's amazing. Obviously a graduate of the Dan Orlovsky school for Qbs.
The Qb play and statistics for that game are hilarious.

Morgan Newton is absolutely horrible. Anyone just see that duck he just threw?
5-13, 62 yards, 2 Ints
7 carries, -44 yards (not sure how many times he's been sacked)

This would be funnier if you bet real money. I didn't even know you could bet ten dollars.

Interesting stat: Boise State, Ohio State, and Auburn, each given a month or longer to prepare against Oregon, averaged 39:15 time of possession.

Yep. Even without the thug at QB, LSU's defense can stifle Oregon's attack. You have to be very diligent in playing within your responsibilities and not overplaying them on defense. Oregon's offense is great at exploiting breakdowns.
And Oregon's defense is no great shakes. Should be an interesting if not sloppy game with all of the offseason rust and drama surrounding both programs.
