This is an ugly game. morris looks like he's got some potential (not much right now, but he's young enough to learn and grow), maryland just didn't make as much mistakes. also, there's tate. nice of you to finally show up

Maryland deserved to win. Miami's D couldn't stop a nose bleed tonight. They're lucky Maryland had problems in the redzone.
I like Morris moving forward. He still has a lot of things to work on but I like his potential.

Haven't seen what Jacory is with this offense. Morris has a ton of tools but Ohio State is going to annihilate him if he stares guys down like that.
Some good stuff to take away on offense from that game but too many turnovers and man we need the guys back on D. Forston and Spence gonna come out on fire next week.

Was it just me or did it seem that the Maryland DEs were getting off the snap almost perfectly the whole fourth quarter?

Didn't they manage to do that to Jacory last year as well? Doesn't get much worse than what he did last year against them. Morris isn't ready for that level at all either, don't get me wrong...but I'm taking a guy who stares down receivers and throws with velocity of a guy that both floats and forces it every time.

The entire Maryland defensive line played really well tonight against a pretty good Miami O-Line. Andre Monroe was ublockable at times.
But yeah, Danny O'Brien is legit, by the looks of it. I actually think he was hurt by the play calling tonight though. Too many screen passes. It worked SUPER well early on, so I can see why they went to it...but they sort of got stuck in it. He looked pretty good when he threw intermediate and deep, in particular on the long hookup and some of the passes to Furstenburg over the middle.
Edsall has Maryland playing very well, by the looks of things. There's some offensive things they really need to work on in spite of how well they moved the ball though.

Please God I hope UMD has more than one helmet to coordinate with their unis.
All I kept thinking watching the Terps was Two Face.

most everything in that game was travis benjamin's fault. not coming back to the ball, tipping it to the defender, i think heyward made the only play that was Jacory's fault, with that said I'd rather try Morris for the year and hope he can fix his reads/starring down wr than go with Jacory

Just came in to say, did Maryland and Miami have some kind of competition for who could wear the ugliest uniforms this week?
Those Miami things are just horrible but no doubt Maryland wins with the single ugliest helmet/jersey combination I've ever seen. U.G.L.Y.

I think the Terps helmets looked alright from a distance, but close up I'm not feeling it.
Supposedly UMD is going the Oregon route and using multiple helmet and uni combos to generate buzz and interest in the program.
The other helmet/uni combos don't look that crazy.

The helmet used last night seemed like a prototype UnderArmour was testing out to judge public sentiment.

The only ones I kind of like are the black ones but even those aren't that easy on the eyes.
The Under Armour founder/CEO is University of Maryland alumnus Kevin Plank. So, I guess they are going the Oregon route.

That's my feeling as well. I actually liked them a lot overall despite the negative social media reaction. College uniforms all look the same with different colors these days. They attempted something different, but simple...and mostly achieved it even though it was rough around the edges.
Just the red and white pattern would have been really cool.

The uniforms just seemed really busy and loud. It was a cool thought to try and incorporate the Maryland state flag into the Uniform but the colors don't really jive.

I think it's funny that schools have to resort to fashion to gain attention for their football teams. Too much Bravo TV for some of these officials.

Looks like an UA commercial!!
The uni last night looked cool from the front, but that helmet was bizarre to watch when you weren't staring at it straight on.

Ugliest uni's I've ever seen. One side looked like an NFL Europe logo, the other side looked like a crash test dummy.
It just looked like Maryland sewed a bunch of scrap materials together at random to make a uniform.
That quarterback they have is going to be a good one no matter what you put on him though....

Pretty funny how the dude on Sports Center started off that game highlight by saying..."AND THIS IS THE XFL!" Made me laugh.

I was a big O'Brien fan before the season...but I'm not walking away anywhere near as impressed as some of you are already. That was really easy, for the most part. He made some real questionable decisions and didn't put the ball where it needed to be on the throws with a high degree of difficulty. Right now, I don't see anything more than a system quarterback with potential to be something more as he advances. Promising player, but he's merely above average at this level right now.
