i will have to say that game was very entertaining as sloppy as it was. it's not everyday you see that crazy of an ending no matter how awful the defensive mistakes were.

I wouldn't say they're stronger than any other conference. I'll take the Pac 12's top 2, or SEC's as well. Big 12 has Oklahoma, and Baylor already beat TCU so theres an easy argument there. Big Ten has no dominant teams, but Wisconsin and Nebraska are both pretty good. And the ACC has two top teams in VT and FSU. Boise and TCU can defintely compete with all those duos, but I definitely won't say their stronger.
Also, hard to believe OSU and VT are higher this week in your rankings after their not so impressive performances.

Higher than what? I don't put a ton of stock in one game, particularly when it's still a win (see:Ohio State). I thought TCU was a top 10 team before Baylor, and if they finish 10-2 (and I think they will), then they're still a top 10 team.
I think Virginia Tech has a good shot of finishing undefeated, if only because the ACC sucks.

Top OT prospect Matt Kalil has 3 blocked field goals this year in 2 games. Wow

Looked great blocking too, from the bits and pieces I saw during the Notre Dame/Michigan half time. Really good looking prospect.

I don't see how a defence can get their **** pushed in two weeks in a row including full penetration by a service academy and be ranked top ten. Good thing their schedule only has one game left on it.

Pretty cool to see Washington St. start off 2-0 especially without underrated Jeff Tuel at QB.

How bad is OSU going to get beat by Miami? I'm going to say by at least 7.

Miami sucks. Toledo is better than Miami. OSU defense is gonna stomp them. I can't speak for Bauserman though, God knows what he's gonna do.

I was completely underwhelmed by the coaching Saturday. Terrible play calling, and a general lack of effort by all units made me sad.
Miami has some studs on Defense, and if Baus can't complete passes against the Toledo D, then he is going to get hammered in Miami.
Hopefully some of the 1 billion starters that are on suspension or are hurt come back next week.

agree on coaching. idk what they were thinking not at least giving Miller a series. If we had Tressel we would've seen Braxton for at least 2 or 3 series. If we use Berry and get Hall back then I think the running game will improve, but Bauserman held onto the ball and missed open receivers and didn't see guys against Toledo. He looked like classic Bauserman. I don't think playcalling was the problem as much, though it was obvious if we were gonna run or pass based on formation and if we had Fragel in at TE (run) or Stoneburner (pass).

2 losses for Alabama is entirely possible, but so is an undefeated season and a national title. We just did it in 2009 with an inexperienced quarterback.
Auburn did it last year with an inexperienced quarterback.

If we're giving our top 25, I'll open myself up to some criticism:
1. Oklahoma
2. Alabama
3. Stanford
4. Florida State
5. Boise State
6. LS
7. Oklahoma State
8. Texas A&M
9. Arkansas
10. South Carolina
11. Oregon
12. Virginia Tech
13. Wisconsin
14. Nebraska
15. USC
16. West Virginia
17. UCF
18. Ohio State
19. Michigan State
20. Houston
21. South Florida
22. Michigan
23. Florida
24. Baylor
25. Auburn

UCF and West VA over OSU? really?
and I know that all the early season rankings are all very debatable and that it's silly to have polls before we know anything about teams, but I think LSU deserves their ranking at #2 ahead of Alabama. What has Alabama done to earn a #2 ranking after losing McElroy, Ingram, Dareus, Carpenter, and Jones from last year - a year that they lost 3 games?

UCF finished with 11 wins and ranked 20th last season. The fact that they weren't ranked to begin the season is ridiculous. They have overcome the losses on defense and the offense is even better this year. They just dominated Boston College. They have a very good chance to go undefeated this season.

UCF needs some offensive guys to step up and make plays but their defense is going to be great again this year. Insanely well coached group.

Truth be told Stanford isn't even close to the team they were last year. Luck is still awesome but the offensive line has taken a step back for sure. They just don't control the line of scrimmage like they used to. The defense is a little softer on the run but they are getting good pressure still. Stanford played a very easy game against San Jose St. and couldn't even get a running game going. Duke was playing pretty well in the first half and just playing like the had nothing to lose.
One thing that I am loving from Stanford is their use of all 3 TEs. I have seen a large amount of 3 TE sets so far this year, whether its all 3 on the line, 2 down and Fleener split out, or all 3 in a bunch formation. It just give such flexibly to pass or run. Luck loves to see a TE split out wide 1 on 1 with a CB. There might not be a deeper or more used TE group in college football, Fleener, Ertz and Toilolo are a great group. I'm really waiting to see Toilolo get more involved in the passing game. He is 6'8" and was the starter going in last year but got his knee taken out in the first game. He is on the field a lot but has isn't targeted often.

not to take anything away from a very good UCF team, they deserve the love. But the reason they could go undefeated is b/c they are in conference USA. Northwestern beat BC at BC, all without their good starting QB.

U guys have Wisconsin way too low. I know we have played very bad competition. But I think they need to be much higher....
1. Oklahoma
2. Alabama
3. LSU
4. Stanford
5. Wisconsin
Thats my top 5. I am not good enough to go to 25 haha. And I am too lazy.

1-LSU
2-Alabama
3-Oklahoma
4-Stanford
5-Boise State
6-Wisconsin
7-South Carolina
8-Florida State
9-Oklahoma State
10-Texas A&M

LOL at you being unable to make one non-homer post about FSU.
But seriously, has Florida State done anything noteworthy in years other than pay a bunch of high school kids to join their team? If they beat Oklahoma then they'll skyrocket up, but they haven't done anything yet. Not winning the ****** ACC isn't exactly impressive.
