That's nice. They sent him off on a good note. The show is F'd without him though.

Not sure I agree here. The interactions between Dwight and Jim are really funny when Jim has been in charge. Dwight always trying to undermine Jim was hilarious.

He's not a bigger star, but he's more capable of being a leading man.

Same here Paul. I'll still watch it to the end but on Thursdays, it's all about Parks and Community for me.
I am really interested to see who the boss is though. I hope we find out tonight.

Nice cold opening. Not sure I like Andy as the manager. We'll see.

I love how Pam cries when she watches that commercial because I'm not going to lie... that commercial gets to me too.

Hmm, I really liked that episode. I thought it was much funnier than the last five or six episodes from last season, especially the ones with Will Ferrell.

As for the new manager, there are really only two options. The first is Daryl. Saber obviously likes to promote minorities, as evidenced by their "Print in all Colors" program. But his interview was terrible. The other is Jim. In the real world, he would be the guy. He is a great salesman. He has been the number two there since season three. And he even was co-manager for a while. I hope he gets it.
|
In the real world, Jim wouldn't be there because he bombs when he's put in charge. He's very good at sales, gets along with people but is incapable of taking authority. Minus putting Ryan in the closet, none of his ideas worked and it showed he was over his head. I think the whole point of that co-manager storyline was to show off Jim's flaws.
Andy as Regional Manager is probably to have someone that we think would be intimidated by Robert California. He'll keep having his little moments where he gets minor victories to make fans happy but other than that; I feel weird seeing him in Michael's seat. It's basically Michael Scott all over again.
I liked Spader, I wonder how old his bit will get but I thought he was hilarious especially writing Creed as "OLD MAN".
Pam and Dwight were annoying (sans Dwight's cold opening) and Jim is literally now the glue that holds the show together.
Highlights also were Kevin's warning signal and Erin's line about planking.

I enjoyed the episode. Dwight and Kevin were great. I don't know, the show just felt fresh, maybe becasue of Spader. I'm looking forward to next week's episode.

To me it felt weak. While it has promise I just feel Andy doesn't have what it takes to fill Michael's shoes. I'm not sure how to describe it... Its like he's odd but in the wrong way.

I thought it was hilarious and not just because of my magical laugh assist vapors. Jim's run down of how Robert California took Jo's job was ******* gold. I like how both Pam and Angela are pregnant sans the fact that Pam now looks like the fat ***** from Archer. I think all the changes they made will at least power it through this season, but we shall see.

Let's give Andy a chance. I liked the episode. It felt a bit empty without Michael Scott... But I thought it was a solid episode.
And Andy as a character is a lot more qualified to be a manager than a salesman. I think it will work out pretty well.

The best part was Dwight taking out everyone that was planking.
