Well its better than losing to a team that has 100+ losses and half their roster's last names are Hernandez and Rodriguez!

Its really depressing that the dodgers may very well have the NL MVP and the NL Cy Young and both are going for or winning the triple crown in their respective position.

I think Kemp would have to go like 12-12 in the last two games and hope Braun goes hitless in 10 or 12 at bats to have a shot.

Can anyone drop some knowledge on me on whom the Twins could potentially be looking at with our 2nd overall pick next draft? I want to get excited about something.

Completely absurd. I've considered him the worst manager in the league for years. Have fun Miami.

You mean Jose Reyes. The current N.L. batting leader. It's all I have right now as depressing as that is.

Ron "you mean using your best reliever in the 8th inning in the playoffs is allowed?" Washington, Bochy (HOW WERE THESE TWO IN THE WORLD SERIES?), Fredi Gonzalez...

Well Reyes actually leads because of the 4th decimal or something like that.

They should give it to Braun for doing it over more ABs.

So, bright side here. The Braves just have to win one or have the Cardinals lose one and they can't possibly be eliminated without at least a one-game playoff. That's nice. Also, Oswalt is the best possible matchup for Atlanta in terms of phillies starters, so that helps a super tiny bit, as Fredi might not be a big enough idiot to completely ignore Heyward and his .380ish OBP over the past month on a team that can't score runs.

Well that makes some sense but Reyes has hit the minimum threshold and that's not the tiebreaker. You can't take this away from me!

Top 2 are RHP Mark Appel from Stanford (Verlanderish according to Baseball America, but I don't think he's that good, still, he's a stud) and SS Deven Marrero from Arizona State (who is a monster and I want him badly for the Twins)
Taking Marrero would mean we could shift Michael to 2nd base, would be a hell of a double play combination as far as prospects go.

Monster? Don't monsters usually hit for more power in college than that?

Very true, probably exaggerated a bit. But he's still a damn good prospect and will most likely land in the top 5.

I love Jacoby. I just found that amusing to watch. He's my choice for MVP besides Verlander.

Don't forget about Lance McCullers. I like him quite a bit.

I've read that he is viewed as a reliever now and is falling.

Weird. Looks to have three plus pitches in the making. He could also play the field too.
