Yea he wavered the second the Shapiro story came out so it's not overly shocking. Bryan Cox Jr will probably replace him in the class.

Hey guys, I just checked, Logan Thomas is still at Lane Stadium, sitting in the pocket untouched picking apart the defense. Maybe someone should buzz the coaches to call a blitz one ******* time.

The 1 blitz we called resulted in a long TD pass. I don't think blitzing is the answer but a scheme change is. After all this talk about being "multiple" we still don't walk up guys like Robinson and Futch to be edge blitzers. Our DEs engage with the tackles instead of trying to beat them to the outside, so it's no wonder the QB has all day to throw...we're not even trying to get there.

Is it just me or has Jacory put a lot more zip on his passes this year? He has certainly looked good so far this season.

Yep, looks better in every way. Way more confident this year, stepping into throws, scrabbling a lot, checking down, making great audible calls. Amazing how much better Fisch is than Whipple already.

Got scary at the end but a big win for Golden on the road. Defense looked like trash again, but some positives that hopefully they can build on.

Gonna be a crazy game against GT next week. Offense better bring it big time.

The big problem with the defence, besides the D-line, is that a lot of them simply can't tackle. I've lost count of the number of times a Cane has been in position to make a good defensive play, only for the offensive player to slip through the tackle. Gaines is the worst for it, but he's only young.

Offensively Fisch has the entire group clicking. The emergence of Hurd and Streeter is promising, and Harris is finally looking like a good QB. They can put points up against anyone I feel - it's whether the D can stop the other team that's the problem.

Micanor Regis apparently punched Dwight Jones last week and is now suspended for the GT game. That's just fantastic. Somebody better step up or GT will carve us up on the ground.

Are there any grumblings about Mark D? I know he is Al's boy, but even at Temple he left you scratching your head on some of the plays and coverages he ran. We figured he was going to go with him, but as assistant HC/positions coach.

He wasn't great or good at Temple as their D coordinator, he was average. But how horrible Temple was that made him seem amazing.

At times he would have the DB playing 6-10 yards off the ball, when the WR needed only 2 yards for first down. We were notorious for giving up the underneath stuff and then getting beat with YAC. He sometimes try's to out think himself, like moving his best DE pass rusher into the 3-4 OLB, and then dropping him into coverage.

A great effort by our D today. Too be quite honest, I'm a little surprised. We haven't seen that in a while. And I have to give a shout out to Sean Spence. The guy was all over the field and making plays.

A nice easy win over Duke that hopefully puts us back on track for the remainder of the season. I can't say enough about Jacory Harris. A complete 180 degree turnaround. I wish we saw this Jacory his whole career.

Looks like you guys have yourself a coach in Golden. He held things together when things could have gone to hell and has his guys playing some good ball. CFB without a competitive Canes program isn't as much fun so this should be good when he really gets things going his way.
