I care about 903.
And does anyone else get annoyed when announcers chew out every player who celebrates a good play? It happens at least once a game, lighten up goddammit.

Agree with you on all of those instances. Let the kids enjoy being kids. 3 point goggles never killed anyone.

The record is awesome. I could have turned to ESPN to check it out. Completely ******** to skip over three on court minutes to watch some dumb q and a.
If you have espn2 you have ESPN. Just tell people to flip over for crying out loud.

Well, looks like Aaron Craft is one of the best defenders in the country now, not just the big ten - received some great praise from Billy Donovan. We won with some pretty good defense and ability to shoot free throws at home. We won with Sullinger essentially silent, all alliteration aside that's promising.

UCLA sucks. I love how their fanbase has been thumping their chest for months like they can land any recruit that they wish to.

OSU's starting 5 looks legit but I can't help but be concerned about the depth on this squad.

It's always going to be a concern under Matta obviously since he usually ops to play his best 5-7 for the entire game; However, Ravenal (BC transfer to spell Sullinger) did appear to play quality minutes but that's just one game for a short amount of time, so we will see.
We're young as hell - 11 freshmen and sophomores, the concern about the depth is logical. I'm worried as usual about big 10 season. All the talent in the world but the experience of.. (insert analogy that I can't think of).
Also, you can see we don't have a go-to shooter this year. Losing Diebler is going to sting pretty badly throughout the duration of the season. Buford was forcing shots last night, Craft gets no respect for his outside shot and rightfully so. DeShaun Thomas is streaky as ****, and Sullinger needs to show he can hit that 15 footer with consistency throughout the season.
We will see. #3? Maybe. Need to see them play Duke for furtuer assessment.
I should have just said, "Yeah, I agree." Instead I blurt out all of this crap. Mahh bad.

I'm more worried about getting a guy who can consistently knock down threes like we had in Diebs last year than I am about depth. We have nice depth this year, it just appears to be very young. And with that our youth itself is overrated a bit. Sullinger and Craft played basically every game last year with starter minutes and are sophomores. Buford is a wily veteran now. Thomas has a lot of experience. For a young team they have more experience than usual. If Thomas can hit threes consistently then this team can go far with all the skilled athletes they have. Good teams will be able to keep Sullinger from dominating down low like last year when we would have Buford, Lighty, and Diebler destroy the 3 point line.
That Duke game should be a fun one to watch. I'm going to see the team play when they come to Columbia next month to play the gamecocks.

Oh look. The Gophers have no one who can hit an outside shot. Shocking.
One of these years Tubby will recruit someone with range outside 10 feet...

Oh man, my college lost by 36 points tonight against Florida. They are much improved this season, I was hoping it would be at least a little bit closer.

It's female basketball, but the coach and assistant coach of Oklahoma State died in a plane crash.

I hate Oklahoma State but that is a real shame.
2 plane crashes in the last 10 years for their basketball teams.

Mack is the real deal. It's going to be fun watching him develop.

Mike Rice is the real deal too. If Big East basketball can remain solid throughout all this conference upheaval, it's going to be cool watching him develop the Rutgers program.

I do love me some Mike Rice. He really does seem to have the all around package including recruiting and coaching.
That game tonight is being played in a ballroom by the way. It's going to be weird to watch.

Austin Rivers really reminds me of Dwayne Wade. Duke has enough talent to be a final 4 team this year.
