I heard that Kevin Curtis reportedly signed a 6-year-deal with the Eagles. I think Curtis would've been a good addition to our team, but I'm sure that he's getting WAY too much money from the Eagles...
What WRs are left in FA??? I know that Gage is still floating around out there, and he's visited with the Titans.
I was hoping that we'd sign a veteran WR and draft one as well. If we sign another big, possession-type WR like Gage, I'll be interested to see if we target a speedster in the 1st round (maybe Ginn or Meachem).

Yup, there's not much left at all in the FA WR group. Antonio Bryant, don't think we'll go after him with his character questions though. After that, the only guys worth a damn are RFA's.
We really need to get one in the draft (which is bad because we also need to get a DE, DT, and maybe even a S or CB).
I still love Meachem and Bowe above all the others at our pick. On that subject, here is an in-depth article on Meachem for those who don't know much about him. It details one reason I like him so much, he's not gonna be a headcase or have a character problem or disrupt team chemistry. He's a different kind of cat, but he's so humble, soft-spoken, and respectful that I could never see him causing a rift between teammates. Like the article says, some people hear his interviews and question his demeanor, but that's just how he carries himself. When he gets on the field, he has some fire to him. Anyway, here's the article

Yeah...if the Titans go with WR in the 1st, I'd like to see them go with either Bowe or Meachem--but for different reasons.
I like Meachem's speed and think that it would add another dimension to the Titans' offense. However, I love Bowe's style of play (a tough WR who's also a great blocker--sorta like Hines Ward) and think he'll ultimately end up being the best WR in this draft not named Calvin Johnson.
Really...I'd be happy with either of them catching VY's passes...

I go back and forth alot on what I think our biggest draft need is, and as of this moment, I think WR is it. I've been on the DL bandwagon for a long time, but when I try to think about it realistically, I think we need to get a legit young weapon for Vince to grow with. We can keep putting it off, but I think it will be of benefit to get one early in VY's career.
I don't see us as contenders next year (if I had to put money on a record I'd say anything from 6-10 to 9-7), so I think the main objective should be to ease Vince's development as a passer, and I think the earlier we do it the better

The Titans have signed WR Justin Gage. I think most everybody was expecting this, following the Curtis signing in Philly...

Also...the Cowboys notified the league that they will not match our offer for MLB Ryan Fowler--which means that he's officially with the Titans now...

Titans signed FS Bryan Scott, unrestricted free agents from the Saints. Reinfeldt says its for depth though...I hope he's lying. Either way, nice pick up.
"A four-year veteran, Scott (6-1, 219) has recorded 230 tackles, four interceptions and 3.5 sacks in 56 career games, including 36 starts and two postseason starts. Scott joined New Orleans last year in an offseason trade from the Atlanta Falcons, where he spent the first three years of his career. His best statistical season came in 2004 when he recorded 85 tackles, 2.5 sacks and one interception in 16 starts for Atlanta.
Scott was a second round selection (55th overall) by the Falcons in the 2003 NFL Draft. He was a three-year starter for Penn State, totaling 202 tackles, five interceptions and 22 passes defensed during his college career. He saw time as a starter at both safety (2002) and cornerback (2000-01). A native of Warrington, Pa., Scott was Pennsylvania Player of the Year at Central Bucks High School."

what do you guys think of the titans going after Domanick Williams cause the texans just released him. since we need a running back and theyve witnessed him tear them up in person, he might be someone to keep an eye on. oh and in case someone didnt know, domanick williams is the artist formerly know as domanick davis.

IF Williams is healthy (a very big "if"), then I think he'd be a great compliment to LenDale in the backfield with his pass-catching ability. Considering Williams' extensive injury history, I think the ideal situation would be giving Williams 5-6 carries a game and having him in on 3rd-down/passing situations.

I agree. I think Domanick Williams would be a great fit as a complement to LenDale. As long as he costs less than a million per year, I'd love to give him, say, a 2-year, 1.5 million dollar contract. If he shakes the injury bug, then what a steal...

Dominick Williams' knee should be fine...
Maybe the name change brought Dominick super-human-healing powers or something...who knows???

Maybe if he changes teams, he'll change his name from Domanick Williams to simply a logo of some sort. Maybe -+$+- ... If Prince can do it ... or, maybe he'll simply be referred to as "The Running Back."

I really like the idea of having Brown back. He's a perfect 3rd down back. He's a great blocker (remember the game winning block in the Texans game last year?). He's great at draw plays and screens too. I think he would scare a defense on third down. On first and second, I'd want White in there, but Brown could spell him here and there.

The Tennessean (more precisely, Scouts Inc.) said in today's paper that Corey Dillon is scheduled to meet with the Titans sometime this upcoming week.
It looks like the Titans are very serious about getting a veteran RB on roster soon (whether it be Chris Brown, Corey Dillon, or Michael Turner). From a draft standpoint, I think adding one of those vets would be a good move--allowing the Titans the luxury of waiting until the late rounds to draft a RB (or even sign a undrafted rookie RB after the draft).

I think Corey Dillion is the best option for 1 season or 2. Then the Titans can attack major areas on that defense & offense. Lendale Get your ass in shape fast.
