Janzen Jackson - Safety
So where does this guy project? He's at McNeese St now since leaving Tennessee, but was a highly intriguing player, and an early round guy, imo.... now what?

Mid - Late round, could be a huge steal.

More talented and a better football player than every safety that will be drafted ahead of him.
If his head is right he'll be better than all of 'em.

Seeing what he did for Marsalis Teague last season, and how far Teague has dropped this season since Jackson got the boot, I'd say Jackson is pretty damn good.

Bump bump...
What's the word on Jackson? Is he declaring or what? I might not like his off field problems, but with the current state of the NE secondary and Jackson's talent I would love to have him. And what would his stock be if he declared? I'm thinking late round/UDFA at the moment, but if you go back and look at his 2009 and 2010 seasons he could climb the boards imo...

He definitely didn't tear it up at McNeese St.
12 Jackson, Janzen 9 22 7 29 1 - 5 . 2 - 12 3 5 . . 1 . .
Its hard to read, but 9 games played with 29 tackles, 2 interceptions, 3 pass break ups, and 5 pass deflections.
He was definitely a ball hawking safety in Knoxville, and they sure did miss him on defense this year.

What the word on his off field issues? I think I remember it being something about alcohol, but not sure of the validity of that...

Well apparently he liked the hippie lettuce too, but when he was dismissed it was rumored around campus to be cocaine. I'd take that with a grain of salt though.
I do know that he failed multiple drug tests and went to some sort of a rehabilitation clinic to get his act together.
He was also the "lookout" in the attempted Pilot cheeseburger BB gun robbery with Nukeese Richardson and Mike Edwards. Oh the days of Kiffin. I believe Edwards is at Hawaii now and I'm not sure about Nuke
