Agreed, I love the new design. However, count me in the can't get online group now. Hopefully they'll have it fixed by tomorrow when I actually feel like playing.

I couldn't get online but I didn't check my network settings so it could be that giving me problems. Fortunately I'm still playing Skyrim so it's no big deal.

So...I dunno how to play games off the hard drive with this new update. I go over to the games section like normal, but I can hear the lens working overtime.

So in order for you to play the game off the hard drive, you have to go and select to play the game off the hard drive...? I never knew that..

Pretty sure that if you quickplay from the home screen, it plays off the disc, but I could be completely wrong. I do ******** things all the time, so...

I thought it was silly the first time someone speculated it...but it does look like the new Bioware game is indeed a new Command and Conquer game.

Ummmmmmm...eww. Zero interest in this one. Bioware you disappoint me...again. Luckily ME3 will be the greatest game ever.

EA is trying to use Bioware as a brand for it's "nerdier" games I guess. It was supposed to just be for RPG's, but yeah. I'm not at RTS guy, won't be buying it. I'm not a big EA hate guy, but it's sort of sad that they're diluting a name that used to mean something. Would't surprise me to hear about some of the bigger names within Bioware leaving after the launch of Mass Effect 3 to do their own things. Just sort of the vibe I get from the direction this is headed.

Call me crazy, but I'm not nearly as excited for Mass Effect 3 as you guys, partly because of EA screwing around with it. I absolutely loved the original Mass Effect, and though the 2nd one was still pretty damn good, but I think the 3rd one will disappoint.

I liked Mass Effect 2 better than the first one, but Dragon Age 2 is frightening. The things that made that game so terrible don't seem to be happening with Mass Effect 3 though.

...shame I missed getting to actually play it by an hour :/

ME2 wasn't close to as good as ME1, imo. Hated the ammo system (though I got used to it), didn't like how little control I had over my squadmates, and the story just wasn't as good. I was left "meh'ing" after the final battle. Didn't care much for my squadmates like I did for Wrex, Garrus, Tali, et al. in ME1 and I accidentally found the GG team of Miranda and Justice with my Vanguard Shepard, so the game was way too easy.

I think ME2 and DA2 are very much alike. I liked both but didn't think either was as good as their predecessors. ME2 probably seemed better because it continued Shepard's story whereas you were confined to Hawk's story in DA2 after being given a pretty open world to explore in DAO.

totally with nepg. especially on the spoiler. i'm not entirely sure how anyone could've died at any point, whereas in 1, wrex kept dying before i figured out what i needed to do to keep him alive.

i'd totally forgotten what a horrific ammo system 2 had. that was easily the worst system i've ever seen in any game.

You mean the different types of bullets? like Cryo, inferno, titanium. levels 1-5. I kind of liked that. They didn't always work, but sometimes cool to see a guy on fire.

I'm just kind of torn on the mini game of searching the planets either by probe or by ship. I hated it in both ME1 and ME2, still did it, but not a fan.

I didn't mind ME2 at all compared to the original. Maybe it's just me, though.

I loved both games, but 2 was the better of the two far and away for me. I disliked removing equipment and the simplification of the skills, but the actual gameplay and story was much better...as well as the general scale of everything.

Can any one help me connect my xbox 360 to my laptop using my 3g service while being wired into my laptop ? I am half way there. I was able to get it connect to the network then failed to xbox live. It is telling me that my MTU settings are off. Can I change those some how on my laptop ?

I didn't like that the only way to change the look of your squad was to do their quests and buy DLC. That was lame. But I did love the game, just didn't think it was as good as ME1 in any way.
