Let's just say you can keep your most expensive player + $20 more.

That gives way too much of a cap.

- The sum of the cost of your keepers will be deducted from your draft budget.
- Once a player is keep 2 years, he will automatically go back into the draft pool. It doesn't matter if is traded. For example, if Blake Griffin is kept once and then is traded, the new owner can only keep him once before he goes back into the draft pool. If he is kept twice and is traded, then the new owner only gets him until the end of the season. This is to ensure the draft pool is refrehsed every 3 years. It also means teams will have to consider whether they want to "clear cap space" for that draft and limit their keepers or not.

These are the rules. Be ready for tomorrow's draft.

But then you won't be able to keep Durant and LeBron, and they'll just hotshot from year to year. I don't see why my solution isn't the easiest solution by far available here.

If someone spends over $100 on a player then they deserve not to keep him. Stupidity will be punished in this league.

That's not stupid at all. If I could keep him, I'd spend well over 100 for Durant (or about 4 other guys). When you can only keep 3 players, why the hell would I want three scrubs when I can keep the best player. This is basketball, not baseball, the value plummets quickly.

LeBron and Durant both cost over 67 percent of the cap of one team for last year. Durant, Wade, Melo, LeBron, Monta, Granger, Dirk, Dwight, Kobe, Deron, and Chris Paul all cost more than half of a teams budget last year. Irrationally placing a $100 cap on someone when most of these teams were some of the more successful in the league last year is stupid.

Last year was a mistake. The bidding was ridiculous. Last years budget was $300. It's $200 this time.

It's a mistake that you're placing these stupid restrictions on us, which limits the league beyond belief. Especially since year after year, the elite players will be left unkept because of these dumb rules.

I think we should be able to keep any 3 players without any restrictions.
We have $200, so if you wanna spend 66.6 on 3 good players to keep, then you will probably have a **** season because you won't be able to fill out the rest of the roster well.

Eh, I think highest player + $5 is good. There are different strategies to building a team in an auction. Some teams want to spend 70% of their money on one guy, and surround him with cheap players. Others want to spread it out more evenly.. others like Brodeur would like to have $50 left over after the draft. I think having a cap of $100 is a little restricting on one of the legit strategies that people use.
I would also say it's not very necessary since nobody can be kept more than twice anyways.

That's EXACTLY what I'm trying to prevent! Some guys want to spend all their money on one guy and then you know what happens? They don't give a rats ass about the season. There's a reason why we replaced 12 out of 20 owners. Guys gave up on the season entirely... and you know what? I feel bad for WMD for winning because over half the league didn't care. In the end it was a handful that were trying till the end.

If elite players are left year after year then that will be a GREAT thing. Stupid is for the people who fail to strategize accordingly.

How many good players do you honestly think there are in this pool? With 9 starting spots and 20 teams, there are going to be a TON of guys starting that are 1 or 0 dollar bids. I hate that I even have to make this argument because I would love it if everyone is scared to spend more than 100 on one player. It's totally asinine.

So we have 125 to spend on 3 guys if we want to keep them?
I'm ready for the draft. For some reason I feel like Dwight will be mine once again, right D?
