In what way has Tebow been successful? Statistically the worst QB who didn't start the season a backup (Gabbert may be worse lol) are you gonna throw one good drive a game at us? JUST WINZ GAIMZZZ? Give me a break.

Wtf you babbling about? Tebow is tied for the best winning percentage, and has a better passer rating than 17 quarterbacks who started for their teams at the beginning of the season.

QB rating is the most useless statistic of them all. At one point this year Curtis Painter had the 9th QB Rating of all starting QBs and winning percentage is a team achievement not a QB achievement anyone who really understands football knows that. Tim Tebow having a great passer rating means didily poo.

Yeah, well what is Painter's passer rating now? And what is his sorry ass nailed to because of that? If you don't like won/loss or passing stats, maybe we look at rushing records, instead? Would you prefer that?

Passing stats? You mean like a sub 50% completion percentage? I have no trouble looking at passing stats just not QB rating. Rushing records would be great if he was a running back like he is suppose to be.

Crap like this is why I can't defend Tebow. I'm actually pretty high on him as a prospect, but when his fans trot this crap out....

Tied for the best winning percentage??? I suppose that if we ignore the loss to the Lions because it was in the "first half" of the season, that's technically true. But Rodgers is 13-1. He went more than a calendar year without a loss and was the QB for the second longest win-streak in NFL history. He won a Super Bowl during that streak, as well.

Your statement that "Tebow is tied for the best winning percentage" is disingenuous, at best.

I was talking second half of the season. Tebow has 1 loss. So does Rodgers, and probably a couple others.

Yeah, let's all trust Brian Billick's opinions on QBs...

(Pssst...That's what I did and all I got was screwed).

That was ERU and BigDawg. It would get pretty heated about him Vs. McNair

I have no words.

a single picture doesnt show the whole story. There was a picture of this play here before but cant seem to find it. It cleary showed a WR open over the middle and what looked like Gabbert missing him, however the video showed he had zero time.

Not sure if I can post links or not (fast forward to 2:50)

No I agree that Gabbert does have bad pocket precence and probably creates sacks on his own but what rookie doesn't? This whole afraid to get hit thing is blown way out of proprtion.

If you watched him at Mizzou you noticed he has had these problems in college too. It isn't him being a rookie, it's him being terrible.

EDIT - actually watched your video, he had a clean pocket, he stepped to the right into Abraham.

I did watch the video and listen to Lageman he explains it pretty well. this isn't a video game where you can just hit a button and ball flies out. He had no where to step. Maybe he won't develop but to give the kid some time.

He had a pocket to step in. I don't know what you are looking at. As soon as he finished his drop he panicked and ran away instead of stepping up into the pocket that he had.

I know what you were talking about. I'm saying it's disingenuous, at best, to cut off most of the available dataset and then say "hey, look, he's the hottest QB in the NFL!" There's a significant sample-size issue here. The first half of the season Ryan Fitzpatrick looked like he didn't suck. Then we found out that he did, in fact, suck. Sample-size matters, and it's not like Tebow has even looked particularly good in this limited sample. Trent Dilfer once won something like 17 games in a row despite being cut by the Ravens during his "streak." Nobody thinks his teams were winning because of him.

Even if we accept the insane notion of throwing out the first-half of the season, not to mention the second half of last season, Tebow still isn't the "hottest" Quarterback in the NFL. Rodgers, Brees, and Brady have been more effective QBs than Tebow during the second half of the season, even if they have one loss each.

But nobody would accept the idea that the first half of the season should be disregarded, in the first place.

So no, Tebow is not the "hottest" QB in the NFL right now. That's crazy talk. It's just not the case. He's not playing better than Rodgers, Brady, or Brees. He's probably not playing better than a lot of other guys either. But anybody who watches football would agree that he's not playing on the same level as Rodgers, Brady, or Brees.

ok, I'm not going to go back and forth with you on this since your mind is already made up even with video proof so lets just agree to disagree

The issue here is your video proof isn't proof. In fact, it's proof of my side. But throw your all your faith into some no-name analyst.

No name analyst who as played football and breaks down film. He's not on ESPN or NFL network so he must not know what he's talking about.

I'm not saying you are wrong when it come to him a preasure. I just think it this situation/play he didnt have a chance to step up and even plant his foot

Jeff Lageman isn't really a no-name analyst. He has been around Jacksonville for years and is very highly respected in the area. Just because he isn't on ESPN doesn't mean he sucks and just because a person is on ESPN doesn't mean the have credibility. I mean, Emmitt Smith and Trent Dilfer have been or still are on ESPN.

With all that said, he had time. The pocket was pretty clean. A good QB would have stood there made the throw and possibly taken a hit. Gabbert decided to piss his pants like the ***** he is and curl up in the fetal position.
