You and all Falcons, Saints and Panthers fans. The Bucs should be 2 free wins for the next few years at least.

He was mediocre as a college coach, I don't know why Sherman is getting a job as an NFL head coach.

I don't think the Bucs really want to win a championship.

Cheap ownership. Also, check and see who his agent is. If he shares an agent with Mark Dominik. That's another way it could be happening.
But yeah, normally NFL coaching failures head down to college to try and recover their stock. When they also fail there....well, only a badly dysfunctional team would look at them again.

Would probably be the most nonsensical at the time hiring since Art Shell (at the time, meaning Josh McDaniels cannot count because he seemed to be a prodigy).

This is completely true, but I'm not asking for a man/blitz heavy scheme (well, atleast with what we have). I'll settle for not seeing 3 man rushes on 3rd down with Charmin soft coverages that everyone picks a part. Hell, I'll settle for something like Lovie's Cover 2, as long as my ******* corners aren't 20 yards off the ball.

And that's exactly what Atlanta is.
|
I think they are there on offense (except for a below average line). Although someone in the mold of vintage Jerious Norwood would do ******* wonders.
Defense, yes. LE, SLB, every corner back not named Grimes, FS, DT are all really lacking.

I'd take Marvin Lewis over Mike Sherman all day every day, and I don't even like Marvin.

Yea agree but it sounds like a cheap ass move by the ownership. If TB bring in Childress and Sherman i would not be suprised to see Josh Freeman regress even more.

They aren't even trying, are they?
Seriously, after watching Sherman lose in the playoffs every year, during the prime years of Brett Favre and Ahman Green, I think that the Bucs would have been better off sticking with Morris. Sherman has all of the bad qualities of Lovie Smith, with none of the good qualities. Sherman is possibly a worse HC candidate than Childress, and there aren't many guys I would say that about.

That being said, this is a terrible coaching staff. The only competent guy is Mike Nolan who runs the 3-4, which doesn't fit our defense at all.
|
Nolan has experience with the 4-3 as well. So while at first glance one would think he will try to convert to a 3-4, it is possible he sticks with a 4-3.

Hue could hop on a plane and come to Chicago. I wouldn't mind him in the least. Top OC candidate available imo.

Carson Palmer. First and Second round pick. I don't care how you are as a coach, that is a fireable offense.

Sell while his stock is up, right? Don't want to risk it crashing back down to earth against the Packers...
