2012 we will have I think 1, maybe 2 scholarship RBs that aren't freshman. Hey Greg Garmon, feel like starting as a freshman?

Coker must have seriously f'ed up. I don't think we've had a RB make it past their soph. year in like 6 years. Wtf....

Looks like we'll go to 2004 Iowa offense of 4-5 WRs every play and only using the RB to block/catch out of the back field.

Nah, supposedly he hasn't done anything illegal, or at least isn't being investigated for anything. He was supposedly suspended by the university, not the football program, prior to the bowl game for violation of the school's code of conduct.

So apparently towards the end of the season, Coker was accused of assaulting a friend's GF. The school administration suspended him immediately even though there was no criminal investigation or charges brought against him. During break the police determine the accusation was not credible and the "victim" did not press any charges, yet the school keeps Coker suspended.

He is now leaving school basically because they screwed him, and is sad for having to leave the team. Thanks a lot, Iowa admins, for jumping to conclusions.

Former 4* AJ Derby is leaving Iowa. Was a RS Frosh QB this fall, switched midseason to LB. Most schools recruited him at TE/LB/S, but chose Iowa to play QB.

Probably wants to play QB still, and saw the writing on the wall with 1 more year of Vandenberg, our backup being a Senior, and a freshman RS this past fall that the staff apparently loves. Also doesn't help that we just signed a JUCO QB that will RS in 2012 and have 2 years left. Kid is a hell of an athlete, but apparently just wants to play QB.

I would think so. Doesn't really have top of the shelf arm strength but I think he can fit that Sumilin offense. But there's no game type to go by though. He was brutal in the loss to Oregon State this year but that was expected since he's a redshirt frosh.

He might not be heading to Blinn though apparently. There was a report saying the Montana's were looking for a house for him and another report that said there was no interest. Not sure which one to follow on.
