The Wings-Hawks game was everything NBC and the NHL dreamed for today in their game of the week.

Wouldn't be shocked to see both the 3-6 and 4-5 matchups be all Central teams. Tough division. It'd be like a preview of the proposed realignment playoffs, should that go through.

Geno looking like he did three years ago. Pens would be a sorry sight without him.

Yeah, he's been extremely good this year. If Gilroy didn't blatantly knock his stick out of his hands, Geno would have had 4 goals today. If Sid ever comes back and plays like he did when he first came back, the Pens could be scary good if their D and injuries get better.

If the Wings beat Buffalo tomorrow night, it'll be a franchise record 15th-straight home win. Detroit hasn't lost at Joe Louis since Nov. 3.

Poor Lindy. It's been a good run.
Maybe Ted Nolan is out of work ...

Did they ever discuss why Nolan was fired? IIRC, Nolan won coach of the year and then got mysteriously fired. What was the deal behind that?

The short answer is he didn't get along with Hasek.
Nolan is coaching Latvia, now. Not the most popular guy in league circles.

There are at least 5 posts hit in every game the Enroth plays.
The guys on NBCSports are calling us out on everything. Our troubles became a hot topic after the Detroit game, but it's strange to see a national broadcaster would be looking for one during every play.

Blues outshot the oilers 19 to 4 after twenty minutes. Had the first 15 shots on goal. Yet the score is 0-0 at the end of the 1st.
Seems like a game the blues will lose.

Malkin with two more goals tonight. He's been playing absolutely ridiculous this year.

Blues are 20-3 at home.
12-0-2 in their last 14 games at home.
Alex Pietrangelo is insanely good.

This Sharks team is so boring to watch. Get run over, no hitting, no appearance of how to work an offensive zone. At least do something to make the fans make noise besides "boooo."
