Flacco got **** because his receiver couldn't hang onto the clutch, perfect, AFC title-winning pass in the end zone to culminate "The Drive".
Brady got bailed out on a 0 TD/2 Int game by the dropped pass and the missed chip-shot FG, as he got bailed out by the Tuck rule, and my his kicker NOT missing the late FGs.

lol. I'm sure you also believe that the Ravens (one of the best run defenses in the NFL) just let Benjarvus Green Ellis and Danny Woodhead run all over them.

It's that time again.
Stafford is obviously #1 now but how does the rest playout for the 2012 season? I guess I'll base this off projected personal performance and how I think their teams will do.
1. Stafford, will have all the stats and I think leads the Lions to a wild card spot.
2. Flacco, Ravens look like they might be headed for a down year with all the injuries and guys they've lost but I think they overcome and also grab a wild card.
3. Ryan, I think the Falcons will take the NFC South this year behind a potent passing attack. Can Ryan boost his game to 34-36 TD level? I think he does.
4. Freeman, added help to the offensive line in Nicks and added weapons with V-Jax, I expect a bounce back campaign. Bucs get 8-9 wins.
5. Sanchez, I think Sanchez can still be a very good QB in this league, I'm just not sure if it's going to be in NY. Not sure about the Jets but I'm trending down, think they'll end up third in the East behind the Pats and Bills.
6. Bradford, simply here because he has the most to prove but he has some added weapons now to move up the list. Rams win six games.

The fact that Ryan has almost as many votes as Bradford is scary.

Until I see him take a snap at the NFL level, no. But I do love me some Andrew Luck.

Stafford and Newton (not on the poll) clearly lead the list of star QBs for the next decade at this point (well, just behind Rodgers, obviously.)
I don't see any of those other guys entering the conversation and would feel it much more likely that one (or both) of the top two guys drafted this year join them than any of the other polled QBs.
Bradford reminds me of David Carr. Just too battered and broken at this point to have a chance to reach his potential.
Freeman was always a bit overrated, in my opinion.
Sanchez is complete crapola.
Ryan and Flacco are those second tier guys; good starters that can get really, really talented teams to the Super Bowl but probably won't win it.

I like Luck, but too put him in this category before he plays a down in the NFL is a bit pre-mature. He honestly does resemble Peyton Manning and seems more athletic. But still has to prove it.

Calvin Johnson has clearly carried the Lions all by himself. That's why they had so many winning seasons before Stafford played a full season.

Oh come on. We all know everyone only says that because they both have dead on Mr Ed impressions. All kidding aside, the answer here is Jake Locker. Or am I still kidding?

Come on this is ridiculous. He is basically an athletic Peyton Manning? You've pretty much already anointed him.

but stafford already proving to be a 5000yrd qb outweighs all of that

I do have high hopes for Jake Locker. I also still think Bradford turns into an elite QB. He's smart and exceptionally accurate all over the field. If he and Quick can develop chemistry and the new regime gets the OL to gel that team could be quite solid offensively and their work in progress defense has a lot of talent along the DL and at Corner to keep Bradford from needing to win too many shootouts while their draft trade rape of the redskins bolsters their overall talent level.

Correction: he did things against other college teams while on a superiorly talented, run-first college team that very vaguely resemble things that Peyton Manning did against NFL teams.
Luck is overhyped to a criminal extent. Yup, he's great at throwing short to intermediate easy routes. Anything where the difficulty or distance ramps up and he becomes mediocre, fast.
Luck is going to have a bad rookie year, people will go "OMG BUST" and then he'll have an okay 2nd year and a good 3rd year, turn into a second tier QB and everyone will scream "BUSSSSST!"

Because the highest paid player is always the best one. Seriously, one of the stupidest posts I've seen in my time here.
Anyone saying they'd take Luck over Stafford is out of their ******* mind. Stafford just threw for 5,000 yards. Get back to me when Luck plays a ******* snap in the NFL.

I don't need to see a player play an NFL snap to form the opinion that he's got a brighter future in the NFL than another player. People seem espcially hesitant about doing that with QBs. If I said I'd rather have Trent Richardson than some extablished star NFL RB, I don't believe most people would have a problem with that. When it comes to QBs, there seems to be this rule that you have to watch him play numerous NFL seasons before you make statements about how he compares to established NFL QBs. Luck has a slight advantage over Stafford in size and athletic ability. Luck is also a little younger and doesn't have any injury history that I know of. I believe Luck is a clearly more desirable guy to build an offense around going forward. I'd hope Stafford proves me wrong.
