Offensive Holding?
Where did it go? Do they not call it in the playoffs anymore?
I've seen all of the playoff games and don't remember a single holding call.

I remember one being called on the Titans on their last drive in New England a few years back in the divisonal round.

I think they have told Refs to back off on the offensive holding, since the ref was placed in the back. The first few months the ref was behind the Qb, every other play was OH. So not to slow down the offense (read: $$$) I think they let them play, unless it is obvious.
But that is my conspiracy theory.
As for playoffs some refs have let the players get away with things and just play like the old rules.

That and Drew Bennett hands cost us the game.

They shouldnt let the offense hold up front and also let receivers run free in the secondary. Defenses have near zero chance now as it is.

Nate Solder has been holding all year. He's not even trying to block. I'm kinda impressed he keeps on getting away with it.

Why would they call a penalty that hurts offenses?

Anthony Davis was holding all game long, nothing was called against him.

Bitching about holding is to football as bitching about fouls is to basketball.
I do feel like there has been a noticeable decline the last few years, tho...not just in the playoffs.

Carl Nicks and Jahri Evans are the best guards in football cause the NFL lets them hold every single play.

The Raiders aren't in the playoffs. That's why.

Penalties as a whole are down in the playoffs. Makes for much better football, don't have to look around for a flag after every big play as is often the case.
And its not like any of the games have been majorly offensive shootouts.

Penalties are definitely down, but holding is plain non-existent.

Sounds like him. 2 times I saw Just Smith getting held and no call. The 1 he did get was when Baas held on to him for dear life.

So was Diehl on Justin Smith. He couldn't block Smith at all.

This is something I noticed too in both games for all 4 teams. Was there even 1 holding call made?

The lack of holding calls shouldn't be a surprise. Anything encouraging defense is being phased out by goodell. I reAlly noticed it last week against the saints.

Justin Smith has been held about 50% of the time since 2009 so I am pretty much over it at this point.

There was one called on Baas right before the Manningham TD. Bradshaw had about an 8 yard run through a huge hole. On replay he basically tackled Sopoaga.

They actually only call it on the Giants. Only 9 offensive holding calls this postseason and we've had 7 of them.
