Well, that's looking good.
In less exciting news, we get to be shut out by St. Louis tomorrow. Hooray. I'm actually glad they're playing Halak, who is the hottest goalie in the world right now (Rinne isn't far behind). We couldn't even beat Elliott when he was on ****** Ottawa teams.
Over their careers, no. But Howard has been every bit as good as Lundqvist this year. Howard is playing brilliantly and has been since Day One this season. Consistency is king.
The Rangers are first because of Henrik's play. Put the Wings team in front of Henrik and you have a much better team.
Oh, come on. That's nonsense. Have you watched the Red Wings this year when they've had 10-game stretches when they can't score and Howard is the only reason they're winning?
I do actually I have the nhl gamecenter. Just FYI the wings have one of the best offense in the league right now. 10 games stretches when they can't score ? you must watch a different red wings team because the longest stretch they had have been 6 games lost at the beginning of the season when the wings offense was awfully bad.

A goalie's offense has little to do with how the goalie himself is playing. Judge them based on the saves they make at key times to keep teams in games or to position them to not be down 2-3 goals before the offense finds itself. It's not fair to discount them based on the skaters that play in front of them. It only stands to reason that goalies on the best teams usually win the Vezina. And both the Rangers and Red Wings are atop the standings.
Lundqvist and Howard's numbers are pretty close too. Certainly not enough separation to say there's a clear frontrunner for the award at midseason.
Henrik Zetterberg is pissing me off. He's making 6 million for each of the next 8 (or is it 9?) years and he's on pace for 16 ******* goals. I think his defense has really slipped too. He's nowhere near the player he was 3-4 years ago during the Wings' two runs to the finals.

Getting really pumped at the idea of a high pick. Vanek has been our only top-10 pick in the past 15 years, and we sure as hell don't make real trades anymore. Gimme some talent.
Watching that Sharks game made me want to stab my eyes out. I am not watching another Sharks game for at least 5 games. Most boring team in the NHL bar none. It's a shame they're actually getting at least a point out of this game because they don't deserve one.

Not so fast, my friend. The Buffalo Sabres are, by far, the most boring team. AND they're last in their conference.
