The guy literally does absolutley nothing, hires his friends as coordinators and doesnt speak up when they are sucking dick. Brings them back after years of sucking. So he has no say in the plays and systems so I guess he should be a ra-ra motivator. No thats not the case because we didnt even show the **** up to some games knowing win and we are the #1 seed. Im not making this up he would have Rex Ryan give the pre game speeches right before they played when Rex was here. at least 28 current head coaches can bring this team to the playoffs every year cause Newsome can draft his ass off. When Newsome leaves if DeCosta isnt the prodigy he is cracked up to be this team will be on the browns level.

There was absolute radio silence on that. Weirdly so, even. It was just an odd situation to have him there in the first place whereas our preference has been to go with younger guys in house. I'm not sure how much of a role he had in our defense, but the direction we've been headed in since his departure has been far better, even if the results aren't quite there yet. Those were dark days. I'm not shocked he got a job with the Ravens due to his ties to previous guys they had there, but I'm pretty sure fans aren't going to be happy with it. He's a very conservative coach similar to Greg Mattison in a lot of ways.

Yea I am probably overreacting and I know there arent any guys out there like Norv Turner, but we are inches away from the superbowl the 3 past seasons with Cam and it didnt work. Its time to take a risk. How bout Hue Jackson Flaccos first QB coach who apparently he loved.

Harbs sticking up for Cameron is just embarassing. Last off season we cut Saunders,Zorn,Matkso all as scapegoats for Cam. Those are 3 guys who have had great success as coaches.

At least you've had good special teams....

We had the 2nd worst kick cover unit in the NFL this season. Last year we had good special teams with the punter Koch and a juiced up cundiff. Our special teams werent anything special this year.

Belichick trolled them SO ******* GOOD on that missed FG. Harbaugh is a former ST coach, they have an actual ST coordinator and then there's Cundiff himself...none of whom thought to take their last timeout there instead of rushing.

Why? Because Belichick motioned the side judge over like he was going to call an icing timeout...and never did. Ha.

That was amazing. I missed it live, but that's totally how it went down. Even said as such later. Really smart on his part and a huge mental error by Baltimore even kicking that. If they had just taken the delay, that one is going to overtime.

Take the delay of game then. We got one before our game winning kick. Eli was calling for a timeout in Coughlin's ear and Coughlin was just in his own world.

Agreed, but damn, Belichick did everything he could except for go out and try to block the kick himself. Total chessmaster move.

Belichick is the Batman of NFL coaches.

I know you definitely thought Tynes would miss that kick after we got backed up 5 yards.

I would trade for a lot of kickers but the hate Jughead has for Tynes makes no sense. He's as average as they come which is sometimes a good thing.

Yes I would. Cundiff is a decent kicker. He definitely rejuvenated his career after Dallas.

He's as average as they come because we don't attempt anything the least bit risky. And his kick offs are terrible.

Dallas is a black hole for kickers. Guys like Cundiff and Folk left to be not-completely-terrible elsewhere.

Meanwhile, they think they do get a good kicker (Bailey) only to completely **** him over with sheer hilarious stupidity.

Kicker is such a weird position. Two equally matched teams could play to a stalemate then the game gets decided one on of their kickers is awesome or is terrible for one play.

And it doesn't look like it's going to get any better. College kickers are just so ******* terrible. Under absolutely no circumstance should a kicker ever miss an extra point...yet they do in college football. Awful. I mean hell, if Boise State had a reasonable kicker, Kellen Moore might never have lost a game.

Kickers...what can be done?

He was booting them out this year with the new rule. In the SF game we were kicking like that on purpose.

And he meant to kick the kick off out of bounds at Green Bay? He was booting them out but not at the same consistency of most kickers. It was just a welcomed surprise for him with the new rules.

Cundiff set some touchback record last year, before the rule changes.

You know, thinking about it a little more, maybe Harbaugh didn't want to risk pulling a Garrett by icing his own kicker?

Hard to say I guess. But what Belichick did is still pretty awesome. Even if all it did was cause a moment's hesitation, he had to try it.

I think if they called it immediately when they realized billy was still practicing would have been a good idea. Calling it a split second before the kick like Garret is just foolish
