Honestly, I think that's a quality staff so far.
Campo's already the DC for Chuck Weis at KU

P.J. Fleck, the former Rutgers WR coach, resigned one day after becoming the OC at N. Illinois. Speculation he's joining Bucs' Schiano

35 seconds ago Twitter
I guess he could be our WR coach. I had no idea what his background was, so I typed his name on wiki and found this:

Quote:
On February 2, 2012, he was hired as the offensive coordinator at Northern Illinois University. Coach Dave Doeren said the following about Fleck's hiring, "We spoke at length about why this is the right place for him. It was very evident to me that he bleeds NIU, and he would have tremendous pride and passion working not just for me, but for the university to help continue what we started last year, and really what he started here as a player. His recruiting abilities and passing game expertise, working alongside Coach Carey as our run game coordinator, will be a great combination for our offense."
Heh...

I don't love or hate it. The top 3 candidates for the OC job here (Daboll, Saunders, Zorn) were the very definition of meh to begin with anyway.

I will say that Daboll had the Miami offense looking decent at times and they didn't have a ton of talent there, but we still have Cassel at QB so we're probably screwed anyway.

edit: This was on his wiki page.. I lol'd

Brian Daboll (born April 14, 1975 in Welland, Ontario) is an American football coach who is currently the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was hired after posting the 32nd ranked offense in 2009 and the 29th ranked offense in 2010 while in Cleveland. For an encore, he guided the offensive powerhouse known as the 2011 Miami Dolphins to the 22nd overall ranked offense in the NFL.

Chiefs fans everywhere rejoiced at yet another hire from the famous Bill Parcell's Coaching Tree.

Daboll has a bad rep among fans but his Cleveland teams nothing to work with. He did a really good job in Miami this year given the "talent" he had to work with.

He should be a good fit. He has worked in a few different systems and has shown aptitude for putting together an offense based on the players he has to work with. Cleveland may have been 32nd in total yards, but they were 8th in rushing with Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn under center.

Honestly, I think that's a quality staff so far.
Cignetti's one year with the 49ers was less than stellar, perhaps though a lot of that can be attributed to Jim Hostlers failure as the OC. Hostler didn't know what the F he was doing with his hybrid coryell/wco that he attempted to run.

Olsavsky has little coaching experience on this level to date.

From what who we have seen hired by Schiano thus far, coupled with the likelihood of hiring Fleck this staff is going to be different and so far leave a lot to be desired. Doesn't mean they won't be successful or the hires are bad but they have much to prove as a staff.

I really like the Daboll hiring. I think he did some good work under Sparano, and that offense is infinitely more talented then what he was working with in Miami (Assuming they retain Bowe and find themselves a real QB).

Just tweeted it's a done deal. That's a pretty interesting hire. Seems to be Allen's 5th or 6th choice. I am interested to see how that one works out. Keep in mind that Allen, as a defensive guy, will work with that side quite a bit.

I'm sure we will see Allens defense, he just needs a play caller who has a similar scheme/style. I've been reading up on Tarver, he would have been apart of Harbaughs staff with the 49ers but was offered a job promotion to DC at Stanford. Both are young defensive minded coaches, and hopefully can install the attacking defense he stays he will.

Call me crazy but I like the move to bring in Tarver. He's young, enthusiastic and seems very intelligent. Add his enthusiasm to Allen's energy and I like the defensive side of the ball so far. Of course you want to have a little more experience if you had your druthers, but we are talking about Allen's 5th or 6th choice. For all the times the Raiders have been cockblocked, I can be happy with this one.

He totally did, because casual Steeler fans are morons and it started to creep into Rooney's head. I'll be interested in seeing the job he does with Andrew Luck.

They somehow connected the fact that they were no long a power running team to them not winning all of the Superbowls and wanted Arians gone.

They somehow connected the fact that they were no long a power running team to them not winning all of the Superbowls and wanted Arians gone.
Arians put up numbers, but not points. His inconsistencies cost him a job.

The o-line was garbage and so was the running talent for most of the year. Mendenhall finally started running a little better late in the year and then got hurt. On top of Ben being hurt.

Arians was making the most of the (healthy) talent he had. I don't know that Haley is going to do anything different without an overhaul of the o-line, a better backup/#2 RB and some kind of red zone threat at WR.

When all you have are smallish speedsters at WR, you're going to have some red zone issues.

Or their smurf WRs and **** o-line/run game made it tough for them to score in compressed spaces.

It's always easier to blame coaches.

It wasn't just this year, though. He's been inconsistent his whole tenure as OC for the Steelers.

Redman showed he could be a solid back in the NFL, he's just slow as ****. I myself would like a bigger WR, though Hines(if he stays), Heath, and possibly Saunders could all be solid redzone targets.

Redman is not a "solid back in the NFL" by any stretch of the imagination, he's slow as **** with all the burst of a wet sock.

If they go into next year with Redman and a coming-off-of-a-knee-injury Mendenhall as their top 2 backs, then they're going to continue to suck at running the ball.
