Nah they get Texas right. They just can't develop the talent.

We have Timmy Jernigan on our side. If only we'd fire Rick Trickett and bring Mike Bloomgren home.

So I guess this kind of fits here...
Class of 2011 4* RB Rodney Coe originally committed to Iowa. He didn't make grades, so enrolled at Iowa Western Community College for 2011-2012. He had maintained that he still intended to transfer into Iowa.
Fast forward one year, Coe had a decent year playing RB at IWCC. However, he has gone from 6'3 230 to 6'3 270. Iowa has informed him they still want him, but as a DL prospect. Coe is maintaining that he will paly RB in college, and has opened up his recruitment.
I guess there's a huge flame war occurring on Twitter today between Coe and Iowa fans, mainly Iowa fans being immature. Needless to say, 0% chance he comes to Iowa now. Anyone in need of a 270 lbs RB?

Yup, and the main reason he chose Iowa is we wanted him at RB while everyone said he was going to grow into a DE or LB, and wanted him there. 40 lbs later and he's shocked Iowa no longer wants him at RB.
He could be a really good LB if he sheds a couple pounds, and still does appear to have really good quickness for that size if he moved to DE. It's just a classic case where a 18/19 year old kid wanting one thing, and coaching staffs probably knowing a lot better.

Eli Woodward will be announcing Ohio State on Thursday. I'm glad he at least has Rutgers second.

Woodard reminds me a bit of Malcolm Jenkins. He and Cam Burrows are going to be a stud CB duo here.

Woodard looks like he's 12.
I like Burrows's teammate Reon Dawson, Key. Tell me more about him. I've only seen limited film, but it impressed me enough to want to grab him. I think he'd be a perfect FS.

Trotwood's secondary is freakin' loaded with talent. Bam Bradley was a senior this past year and he signed with Pitt - but Urban Meyer wanted him to sign with Ohio State pretty hard. Burrows is #7 in the nation for 2013 according to Rivals. I know they have another DB there too that is supposed to be a stud recruit. I haven't seen Dawson's tape but I know he got offers from like Indiana and Kentucky and he's a physical specimen for a DB.
Lots of good safeties in Ohio this year - Dymonte Thomas (I think he's a 5 star type athlete), Marcus McWilson from Youngstown Cardinal Mooney, Chris Worley from Glenville, Dawson, Jayme Thompson from Toledo (west virginia verbal), Jayln Powell from Warren Hardin....McWilson and Worley were said to get Ohio State offers this past weekend at the junior day, but apparently they didn't (or at least they aren't commitable offers).

No shock obviously. First time the last 2 years we're not going to get the best player in NJ.

Texas has a low amount of commits right. Don't they usually have a full class by now?

They are changing recruiting philosophy. It seems that a lot of these early commits have been great HS players early in their careers but are entitled and don't pan out as well since they have had their asses kissed for so long.
There are serious attitude issues on the current team. The 2010 team was even worse. The student paper has even publicly attacked their entitled attitudes.
Football is a brutal sport that demands a great deal of drive. No matter how talented you are physically, you need to have drive in order to be successful.
So Mack found out the painful way that you need to look for those players that aren't just super studs as Sophomores and Juniors and lock them up, but keep a good amount of space free for the hard drivers and the late bloomers.

Texas has been like that forever. That's a big reason why a lot of Texas recruits don't pan out in the pros; they leave Austin and are too soft and pampered.

Ohio State offered TE Mike Heuerman I heard. I think he and Shelton Gibson are the next two to join our class. Maybe CB Caleb Day and QB Mitch Trubisky (alex smith clone) too.
