Kellen Moore vs Russell wilson

im a big kellen fan but i just think that wilson is a brees clone
hes short but smart and very athletic any thoughts??

I think their upsides are virtually identical. I'm pretty sure neither will have any trouble holding a clipboard, although Kellen Moore may have difficulties with his teeny, tiny hands

Russell Wilson has a significantly better arm. The mental parts of Moore's game can be taught, but the physical shortcomings of Moore can't really be fixed.

Neither are going to be great choices for a starter, since they all have a minus grade on their height, but Wilson is at least going to be able to make all of the throws if you give him throwing lanes. Honestly, if Russell Wilson were 6-3, he would probably be a first round pick.

Russell Wilson is very intriguing. Highly athletic, highly accurate, and has A+ character. In the right west-coast system he could thrive. Having a QB ahead of him that is willing to mentor him for his first few seasons will be critical.

Kellen Moore could either become Drew Brees or Drew Tate, no in between. He needs to get much bigger and much stronger is he wants to stay in the league. If he accomplishes that feat there is no reason to think he won't excel at the next level. His intellect is far superior than any other QB prospect we have ever seen. His cerebral approach to the game rivals that of Peyton. It'll be hard to find a player who works as hard on the mental side of the game than Moore. However, if he just can't make the NFL throws all the study in the world won't make him succeed.

Predictions

1. Wilson: 4-5 round to a west coast team looking to develop a young QB for eventual replacement for their already established franchise QB (i.e. Saints)

2. Moore: 6-7 round to a team that has nothing to lose, runs a system based around short yardage passing and has QB coach that will hammer the table to have a backup as intelligent as Moore (i.e. Patriots)

Wilson by far for me. He has at least some decent tools and is a good athlete. Moore isn't worth a draft pick to me. I would take Wilson late and try to develop him into a good backup.

Yes. Wilson, at the bare minimum, has the athletic tools to be a package QB (like a wildcat QB or like how Kordell Stewart was used by Pittsburgh back in the early 90s.)

Given a couple of years of seasoning, I would be comfortable having Wilson step on for an injured starter for a game or two.

Wilson in a short order will be one of the top backup QBs in the NFL. And I wouldn't be surprised if he's given a chance to start somewhere before his career is over.

He's the type of guy you can envision going in for an injured starter in week 8 and quarterbacking that squad to the playoffs.

If Russell Wilson is 60-65% of the QB Brees is, IMO that's a solid NFL starter.

People seem to be getting it right, add 3 or 4 inches to Wilson and we are looking at a possible 1st rounder. Should be a solid backup with some potential to start down the line.
