Jeremy Ebert - WR - Northwestern

How does everyone feel about this guy as a supersleeper slot WR? Could he be this year's version of a Dane Sanzenbacher?

Much better player than Sanzenbacher. Must faster and more explosive with better hands. This guy is Wes Welker with better size. Someone will get themselves one hell of a slot receiver if they draft this kid. My prediction is 4th round.

I remember seeing him burn the Nebraska defense on something like an 80 yard play...showed good acceleration to separate from the DB.

I'd say I'm somewhat of a Northwestern football fan, and really hated Dane Sanzenbacher as a rookie.....but Jeremy Ebert is not better than Dane Sanzenbacher.

I'd say that I am a huge Bears and NU fan and have watched both of them play live many times. Ebert is by far better than Sanzenbacher and it will show in the pros. Ebert shined in college despite being the guy defenses keyed on. Sanzenbacher benefited from the being the guy at OSU that people forgot about. I don't want to put down Sanzenbacher but Ebert is a much faster, stronger, and fluid athlete and I think he also has better hands. The game against Nebraska was just the most recent example of his athleticism.

By the way, Ebert just ran a 4.38 40 at NU's pro day. I'd say that makes him faster than Sanzenbacher.

Yeah I think you took the Sanzenbacher comparison and just ran with it.

The point at the time I made the thread was that Ebert was a similar sized, underrated, white receiver from the Big-10 who I haven't heard one single talking head or draftnik bring up at all.... and looked to be heading towards being undrafted just like Sanzenbacher was last year.

Sanzenbacher performed extremely well in the agility drills at his pro day last year that would've put him at the top in several categories of WR's that were invited to the combine. All this put him on the map and made him one of the more coveted priority UDFA's.

I saw Ebert headed down almost the same path... and here we are.

That 4.38 is going to get him drafted somewhere in rounds 3, 4 or 5..

He torched Penn St while their defense was playing pretty good too. 5 rec 109 yds. 1 RUSH for 6 yards. Looks like he'll make a good slot receiver like Steve Smith -Philly/NYG.
