Wow.
The Saints shouldn't even bother showing up next year. They're done before the season even started.

I wonder what players are going to see suspensions and fines. Probably Vilma, but who else?

They were pretty noticeable with Brett Favre and Kurt Warner. I would have to re-watch opening night for Aaron Rodgers and then same with Cam Newton but those pictures of Brett Favre's leg after that game were pretty nasty.

Zero chance Brees signs that tender now. The Saints are going to cave and give him whatever he asks for just to placate the fanbase and try to hold things together for a year.

UPDATE: The NFL has issued a formal announcement regarding the discipline. The announcement also states that assistant head coach/linebackers coach Joe Vitt has been suspended six games. The penalties imposed on the Saints organization will be discussed analyzed in a separate item.
|
Joe Vitt too for 6 games.

Is there really zero chance of anything? Brees won't essentially hold out for 10 weeks and get paid even less only to get a year older.

Kurt Warner getting hurt was a bit his fault. Running to make a tackle and then getting a shoulder in the chest.

There is a massive difference between "play hard" and "play to the whistle" and GO OUT THERE AND TRY TO HURT SOMEONE FOR MONEY.
I can't believe people are actually defending this kind of system. Ugh.

Lol... I hate people who act like what the pats did was so much worse. By the rules they cheated yes.. but it really wasn't for anything that helpful.

To answer my previous question per PFT:
"Mickey Loomis suspension for first eight regular-season games does not have an effective date; apparently, he's not suspended until Week 1."
"Sean Payton suspension is effective April 1; Gregg Williams suspension is effective immediately."

Tho I agree they hit the Pats way too lightly. But u can't blame for this. Football is a violent game, they tried to make it even more violent. This wasn't filming a team's practice, this was adding incentives to injure somebody. Its a mob, without killing anybody.

Horseface is a asshole, if it wasn't for Tebow Peyton wouldn't have picked the Broncos. He should of at least sent him to Jacksonville as a thank you.

There's a difference between cheating on your test and getting paid to injure your teacher; I don't see how people can even compare the two. There's no career-ending potential from what the Pats did.

Jaguars offer was significantly less than the Jets offer.

So, none of you think other teams actually pay for big plays? Naive.
