49ers still have a real solid chance at winning a SB.
edit: damn your trollin'

At least 49ers and Vikings fans know that the Saints won't be getting in the way of a championship that their teams already had no chance of winning!

You do remember the 49ers beat the Saints in the Playoffs last year?
Remember now?....

I think that "suspended indeffinitely" might as well translate to "lifetime ban," in this case. It's not like any team is going to hire him if he did get reinstated, because the NFL would be watching them like a hawk.

As far as I know, he already had defensive control, so that won't change, but Pete Carmichael will surely be doing the offensive playcalling.
Could be WAY worse, we're one of the few teams that could survive that. Brees+Carmichael will be fine with the offense.
It's the little Sean Payton things that we'll miss... like quirky onside kicks, going for it on 4th down... etc.

And if steps in and they win, do we have a coaching controversy next year?

Tim Tebow won a playoff game too, doesn't mean they had a shot to win the big one.

The 49ers went 14-2, the Broncos went 8-8.

I think our shot was a lot more favorable than Denver.

So we were like 3-1, and 1 yard from tying in the games with confirmed bounties?
Maybe it was working...

Still don't get the "hope other teams get caught!" thing.
It's like hoping to beat a team in the superbowl because their 5 best players are suspended.
Sports are about competition, I want to beat teams at their best.

How sad is it the Bengals boards want to start a bounty rumor just to get rid of Marv?

Can ownership also be implicated? Can they suspend an owner?

Hell, Marv might be a good coach if his boss weren't such a wanker.
