Sounds like they may use me again, I will keep you updated.
I might have missed it, but I'm just curious. How did this end up getting started? Did they contact you? Did you contact them? Was there an in-between that both parties know?

They contacted me to see if I was interested. I was actually asked to be on "Path to the Draft" a few years ago but it was really close to the big day and I just couldn't fit it into the schedule.
Basically a producer asked for a few topic ideas, which they approved, and I shot three different videos. The Blackmon one aired and I also did versions about Trent Richardson and Ryan Tannehill. I believe they may run one of the other two, possibly Friday.
I hate you Time Warner Cable. I really, really do. :(
EDIT: Didn't realize there was a video in the first post - yay!

As far as Blackmon is concerned I see him as Dez Bryant without the maturity issues. If that is Elite then that is what he is.
How does this make any sense? Not just because I am a Cowboys fan but Dez is better than Blackmon in every single way. He is two inches taller, almost 20 pounds bigger, definitely more explosive, and Dez is probably faster in a straight line too he just wasn't in the best of shape for his pro day after not playing football the entire previous year because of the stuff with Deion.
All of Blackmon's strengths (hand catching, plucking the ball out of the air) are Dez's strengths too, Dez is just way better at it. Dez's sophomore year at Oklahoma State was filthy. If he didn't get suspended he easily would have went in the top 5 and belonged there, unlike Blackmon. Also, Blackmon had a much better QB throwing him the ball. I know Zac Robinson was a nice college QB but he is nothing compared to Weeden.
Like already established in this thread, Blackmon really doesn't belong in the top 6-8 picks but he will go in there for some reason. Dez actually did belong there. Dez was on a level above Blackmon as a prospect.

Agreed except that Dez Bryant has / had a plethora of more character issues than Blackmon and that alone is weighing a huge factor into where they are getting drafted. Granted, Bryant basically sat out a year but still.

Right on Scott! That was sweet. I think you did a good job taking that stance on Blackmon. Makes it seem like your definition of elite is held at high standards! You don't want to be the guy who throws the word "elite" around like water. :)

Lets start at the measurables
Heights
Bryant: 6'2"
Blackmon: 6'1 1/8"
Weight
Bryant: 224lbs
Blackmon: 204lbs
40 yard dash
Bryant: 4.52
Blackmon: 4.46
10 yard split
Bryant: 1.53
Blackmon: 1.53
Vert
Bryant: 38
Blackmon: 35
They are nearly identical based off from a physical point of view entering the NFL draft
So production similar but benefits Blackmon physical tools similar slightly favor Bryant. Tell me again how Bryant is so clearly better as a prospect (outside of character) than Blackmon is.

I think Blackmon and Bryant will be similarly statistically, but Blackmon has a slower burst similar to Anquan Boldin. He will be very productive(likely with Bradford at 6), but I don't think he is on the same level at Green/Jones from last year.
That man is an imposter. It's been accepted fact for years that this is real Scott Wright.
Scott needs a pic of this in the background for any future segments. As a hat tip to the forums. And then if the host asks, "Uh, hey. I that a naked man holding a python behind you?" he can look right into the camera and deadpan say, "You stay classy, draftcountown. *wink*"

I can make them. Like, as in mass produce them with industrial machines from my family's business "make them." Would just need Scott's permission to use the design, and if he'd prefer for us as a community do it just for ourselves rather than for him to get into merchandising, or if he wants to market them for profit through the site and use them for podcast/forum prizes. Cause if it's the latter, he may feel more comfortable with a bigger company.
Nicely done Scott! Kudos for getting some high profile air time. Hope to see you on there more, figures that one of the only episodes of Path to the Draft that I miss is the one that you're on!
