Kalil Falling???
So, ESPN is reporting that Kalil may even be falling out of the top 10. Is this at all possible?
3 Minnesota Vikings
4 Cleveland Browns
5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
6 St. Louis Rams (f/WAS)
7 Jacksonville Jaguars
8 Miami Dolphins
9 Carolina Panthers
10 Buffalo Bills
We know Buffalo would grab him up...right? If he slides to 9, I'd bounce off the walls to see Detroit move up with Carolina, at any cost.

The Rams, Jaguars, Dolphins, Panthers and Bills would all take him. The Bills could trade up for him though.

From the start of the college football season until just a week ago, Kalil has been regarded as a Top 10 pick. Im not buying into these 'stories' that seem to formulate from strictly speculation and lack of other news just a week before the draft.

Dolphins wouldn't. They have Jake Long at LT. Unless you want to put him on the right side...

No no no, speculation and lack of other news is what starts here on the boards. This came from the mouth of Leslie Frazier.

I can't see it happening. By all accounts, Kalil is a better player than Tyron Smith who went 9th to Dallas last year. I suppose Minnesota could pass on him. Cleveland and Miami would too. But if he is there at 7, I have to think somebody would trade up with Jacksonville to get him. Buffalo could trade up a few spots for cheap. Arizona and Philadelphia could trade up for a bit more. And teams like Chicago, Detroit, and Pittsburgh could all trade a bounty to go into the top 10 and get him.

I don't know if the Jaguars or Dolphins would take him, but they'd definitely entertain trades. I still have a hard time seeing him slip past the Rams, though.
Still think this is posturing by the Vikings. They really want a deal, but by now, the general feeling is that no one is going to move up for Tannehill that high (just watch someone do it in the end, but I doubt it). So ... who can they fake on to try and get a trade? The one guy that could get a trade might be Richardson, but no one would buy the Vikings as a threat to take Richardson. So, have your GM come out selling Claiborne, and have your HC come out talking about needing playmakers, and see if someone bites and deals up.
At least, that's what I think they are thinking (and what I think a lot of people are assuming they are thinking). As I noted in another place, though, Davidson's offensive line style could allow them to look for OT's later on, and if they feel strongly that what Davidson prefers can be found later, maybe they are seriously entertaining WR/CB. It would surprise me, though.

Draft rumours at this stage are usually worthless and I see no way he doesn't go #3 to Minny.

Agreed. Toon made a great point. This may all be posturing to try and move down. But even if they come out and say they don't like Kalil, straight up, people aren't going to move up to 3 for the guy. They'd move up to 5 or 7.

Well if they did take Claiborne and presumably Cleveland took Richardson, I think you'd see the Bucs desperately trying to trade out with Buffalo at 10 being their best hope.

Yeah. This. There have been reports that there are only 5 elite players in this draft right now, in terms of grading prospects. Khalil has been mentioned in every one of them. If he's there at 5, I believe Tampa, who misses out on Claiborne and Richardson, should field some interest.

Why wouldn't Tampa juste take him at 5 ? I get that they'll probably try to trade down if that scenario happens, but it's not like they're forced to do a trade like that. I would be pretty happy if we end up with Kalil.

If that scenario happened, wouldn't surprise me if the Bucs tried to "double-dip" (making up a random term). I could see the Rams simply flipping them a pick, maybe some sort of mid-rounder, to swap a spot to get Kalil (Smith is going inside reportedly, and Saffold could be shifted to RT), and then I could see the Bucs try for any sort of deal with a team that wants Blackmon (or Cox, or Gilmore). The Rams would still have the ammo to make a play for a WR, and that offense would look a ton better.

I think they'd ponder it. A good trade would probably get prioritized, but if not a good trade, Kalil is a better talent than Penn (or Trueblood, for that matter). If I'm not mistaken, Trueblood's in his final year?

Kalil will go top 10. Bust or not, that's TBD.

Hes gonna drop to 10. The Bills should take him if hes there. Hes good the problem is teams in the top 10 dont need LT's as much as other positions. The Bills are the only team in the top 10 who prolly have LT as the biggest need.
The rams have nobody at receiver. Why would you take a LT when you have no players to help Bradford.

Cuz if Khalil falls to six or some team that gave up waaaaaaaaaay too much to move up for him, it means Blackmon prolly went to the Browns, and we are stuck between Khalil and Floyd. And I don't want to reach for Floyd at #6.

Depends on how you look at it. You can argue that giving Bradford more time to throw the ball will make him more effective. Add to that you arent going to get someone anywhere near that good in the second round. There will be receivers later on in the draft for the Rams.
As for talk of Kalil going outside of the top 10, do they really think we're that stupid.
