Sure it's a stretch but it's not like there are any dominant defensive talents in this draft so it's not that outrageous.

Can't wait to see the Patriots trade up and draft Mark Barron, just for the comedy.

As for Jones, I don't quite see what some are seeing. I'm definitely intrigued. He's got crazy good genetics, length and good athletic ability. I just don't think it's great athletic ability, which is why I'm confused that he's being projected as a JPP type. He doesn't have that same fluid movement that JPP does, at least not on tape.

Like I said though, definitely intrigued. Enough so that I wouldn't argue with him at #19 overall.

Yes. Chandler Jones has been hyped up quite a bit. How much of this is because he's got 2 pro athlete brothers? That being said, I buy it. I like the work ethic. I like the frame. All indications say that he's a studious young man. The best defensive player in the draft? No, that's Luke Kuechly. But again, you can understand the hype is created. It isn't going to be an elite defensive draft, and if you can get Chandler in that 18-25 range, he's worth the risk. I know, as a Lions fan, I'd be willing to see Avril traded if we can draft Perry or Jones.

Another thing to remember is that DE is one of those positions that teams usually give time for a player to develop at. Few guys come into the league as dominate as Julius Peppers.
