I believe the original intention was to have less people sending lists, not more. I recall TJ saying he was going to be selective as to who could send it lists to be analyzed.

I'm all for doing Top 10 by position, and amalgamating it later. I think it'd be simpler that way.

I'll have no problem running this but there needs to be set guidelines. I'll leave the board to decide the majority of them as it's intended to be a board wide thing.

For example, no Players from the 2012 Draft Class (Luck, Griffin, etc.) What other criteria is there to note? I'm pretty sure it's as straight forward as it can get. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure how feasible this is, but what if anyone who contributes a list of top ten players does so but is not allowed to nominate a player from their team.

It takes all homerism out of the equation and then there has to be some sort of formula to work out the overall.

For instance, in 10 Packers fans vote and can't nominate Aaron Rodgers there is a way to factor that in, when say only 2 Lions vote but can't nominate Stafford.

Once again, not sure how feasible that would be and we would probably need someone who has a good knowledge of math but I think that could be a fairer way and would stop a lot of arguements.

The more the better I would think. Less people equals less of a consensus. If someone sends a list in of all the OL on his team and called it a top ten then we can just disregard that.

Everyone can start PM'ing their lists now. I'll be accepting them until May 27th, 11:59pm EST. That's 24 days from now. The concept is simple, who are the best players going into the 2012 season, at each position. Compile a top 10 from QB, through 43DE, 34DE to S. I almost sorted tackles and guards into their seperate right and left positions but decided against it. Don't shy away from ranking RT in the Top 10 if they're better at what they do. Free safeties and strong safeties are grouped ito safeties.

Quarterbacks.
Running Back.
Fullback.
Wide Recievers.
Tight Ends.
Offensive Tackles.
Guards.
Centers.

4-3 Defensive Ends.
3-4 Defensive Ends.
4-3 Defensive Tackles.
