I'm not much of a fan. They don't really have that big of a fanbase to draw from. Their football team has clearly improved since last time they were here though which is at least good but they don't really add much.

Possibly, but it can't be that much more. Plus, the Big 12 doesn't share monies.

It just doesn't make sense. There seems to be a clear hierarchy of conferences (in terms of desirability to join, not performance):

Big Ten-SEC-Pac 12

ACC-Big 12


Big East

Mountain West-Conference USA

MAC

Sun Belt

WAC (RIP)

I'm not sure why you disrupt historical rivalries and geographic fit to join an, at best, equal conference. Moving to the SEC I would understand.
