Judging an offensive linemen based on his 40 time is one the the dumbest things you could do. With Ben Jones, all you have to do is just plug the tape in, you won't find another guy as ferocious as him. He is the definition of a mean streak. He's just a mean old country boy. He was a team captain and everyone on the roster was afraid of him, he put everyone in their place and was well respected.

Picking up Keenum as an UDFA may turn out to be a big move as well... Kubiak loves him.

If anything it will be a money maker. I am sure all University of Houston fans will be trying to buy Keenum jerseys. They would pay off his salary just off of jersey sales. Plus, I like him more than Yates.
I love the Dwight Jones pick up. I will bet you he turns out better than Posey.

So Texans fans, what are your thoughts on Jacoby Jones? I always liked him, but only saw him when he played against TN. I'm sure he's getting unfair hate for his playoff muffed kick, but that's hardly enough to really measure a guy by unless he has lots of problems there (has he?).

He's never been able to put it all together. He's got solid speed and he's a big wideout but he doesn't locate the ball well and has trouble separating. Extremely frustrating player.

Ok thanks. Not sure if the Titans would even look at him, just wondered if he could maybe be an upgrade over Mark Mariani at WR. Not that we've seen much of Mariani at WR to know what we've got, but it may be good competition.

Leinart is a Raider now. Has he grown up any? He didn't earn a second chance in Houston, so I'm doubtful he'll linger in Oakland for long.
Would be nice to have a decent backup for a change, though.

No offense, but your Raiders draft sucks.

I loved the draft, love cutting Jacoby Jones and the Keenum signing.
Would have liked to see some WR upgrades, but it could have been so worse. This is a good off season as far as I am concerned

I'm excited to see what Keyshawn Martin can do in the return game. I hear he won't get much PT at receiver, but he seems like a good screen guy that could work well in our system.

Because he's a locker room nightmare coming off a torn ACL.

He's not going to be a "locker room nightmare" at this point in his career. He just wants to be on a roster. He will sign a cheap 1 yr deal with anyone. If he acts up then just cut him, big deal. No harm in letting him tryout at least. You should read the article Grantland did on him recently.
The Texans have zero WR's behind Andre. I know it won't happen so its a somewhat pointless debate anyhow.

How high of a pick could we get for Tate? I can't help but think that he will bail in FA because he is good enough to start on almost all of the teams. I am sure he will get a good size contract and we won't be able to re-sign him. Foster-Tate do make a great 1,2 punch so we better enjoy it while it lasts.

I have to admit, those are sweet. Kinda a throw back to the old Houston Earl'ers!

Oh yeah. Guess I was wrong about Roc Carmichael. I really thought he was gonna have something. Yet another one of my many misses.

I didn't like him since we past on Davon House to get him. Granted, I haven't kept up with Green Bay to see how he has done lately.

I am one of the few that don't like those. The Titans are the "Oilers," not the Texans.

I like them. Kind of a throw back, and I still think the Texans can claim some Oiler tradition.

OLine did pitiful. Andre Johnson is, well, Andre Johnson. JJ Watt is a monster, and it is nice to see Owen back contributing. I bought a new Texans shirt online last Monday and hoped I could wear it today to Hooters when I went to watch the game since it wasn't being shown on Comcast out here and of course it didn't come in. Watch it come in tomorrow just to annoy me. The place was packed with Bears fans. I was the only one there watching the Texans. Well at least until the end when two guys showed up to cheer on Foster for their fantasy teams.

Another solid win, but we won't really know anything until we play a decent team. Manning and Denver should provide that next week.

It's nice to see us dismantle the teams that we should beat though. A lot of good teams have been struggling/choking against lesser competition this season, ie. Patriots losing to Arizona today. So it's great to see us take care of business out there.
After playing two teams with pop-warner qb's, Denver will definitely be a challenge. On a positive note though, we will also be the best defense Peyton's faced so far.
