Apparently not. Let the man play a snap for crying out loud.
I love Luck, but even I have some concerns about his arm strength. He could be Peyton Manning, he could be Chad Pennington (pre-shoulder surgery). Let the man play a damn snap first.

The concerns about Luck's arm strength exist more on message boards than on the football field. Fans just need something to nitpick about. Luck is a great talent, so predictably there will be people who think it's cool to go against the grain. There's no rule that says you can't express opinions about players before they play an NFL snap. I bet if I searched through the posts of people saying "omg stop talking about Luck!" I'd find numerous posts in which they are predicting certain 2012 rookies will be "beasts" or "studs" or whatever. Luck is the consensus #1 pick golden boy, so it's not cool to make those type predictions about him.

I love Luck too b/c I saw him do it all in college, dominate the team that beat them yr after yr (USC), set rcd. after rcd, rally his team back after he threw a pick 6, pick defenses apart & made it look so easy, & then that prettiest pass thrown in all of college FB.
Not a lot of arm strength concerns for me, he threw many deep routes at Stanford with pinpoint accuracy.
Same old same old, it's called potential b/c he ain't done it yet. He has to adjust to the NFL game this season in games, & like Stafford he will be doing it with an undertalented team (yes, even less talented than Detroit was 3 yrs. ago) that's rebuilding around him. Turning this corner is the single biggest milestone in any NFL QB's career & many just don't make it. If he wants to continue to be that hero with the red S on his chest he will have to slay this dragon & learn to get over the many setbacks, sacks & losses b/c they will be there

I'd take Luck over all of them but Stafford. Even if he busts, what am I really missing out on? Mediocre QBs at best.

Ironically enough, I don't have a problem with this statement. Stafford has proven that he can be an elite QB at the NFL level: until Luck proves that as well, there's no way you can logically rate the latter higher. That said, many of the other QBs on this list are still expected to progress and are still lauded primarily on "potential" or "talent", and that's a conversation Andrew Luck does belong in. But Stafford just threw for 5,000 yards and 41 TDs. I have a very, very hard time imagining Andrew Luck being anywhere near that good for at least three seasons.

Its gotta still be stafford. Luck needs to prove him self and Stafford did just that this year. Keep in mind luck dominated in a very weak football conference out west. It's not like he was carving up the SEC power houses. He was beating up on teams in the pac 12.
Luck will take a few years to catch up to stafford. But statistically he may never since Stafford now finds himself at the helm of one juggernaut of an offense.

I don't hate this statement, either. Maybe, Matt Ryan. Maybe. But even then, meh.

College competition doesn't have that much to do with how good Qbs will be. Sure it helps, but there are many recent examples of Qbs from big schools failing hard, and qbs from "weaker" competition dominating.
Big Ben played against MAC teams, and then killed it in his second year. And was pretty good in his first year. He didn't play SEC power houses.
Rivers didn't do to bad in his first season starting, even though he beat up teams in the ACC.
Russel carved up SEC defenses, failed at NFL, most of it was on him though. But thats the case with every qb, how hard they work and if they get it. Most of them all have the tools to be good.

How is Locker, and Griffin already better than Flacco? Not to mention Freeman

I'm ranking them how I would want them going forward, factoring in potential and whatnot.

Who else is still on the Sam Bradford bandwagon? If that OL can bounce back and keep him healthy I think he'll take a significant step this year. Add a true #1 next year and a rapidly rebuilding defense and I think he'll be the NFC West's best QB sooner than later.
Stafford's still clearly ahead of him and Cam is to unless he has a serious let down next year. I do like Luck, Locker and Griffin to become elite QBs as well, but I still think Bradford can become that franchise QB that makes his team perennial contenders.

The 'add a true #1' should have been a priority long ago. Its clear they arent very anxious to do that.

Eh, they need to raise their talent level and they've only had Bradford for two offseason to do that in. The D is a lot more talented than it was when he got there. The OL was drastically improved his rookie year before struggling last year and they're adding solid complimentary guys for him to throw to.

I never liked Bradford and still don't. I don't understand how in the spread he was great, but others aren't. He never has that listed as concern, played out of shotgun.

Because playing in the spread is no longer a big concern? People didn't even mention it with RGIII.

I hate the Jets, but give Sanchez a receiver like Megatron and I bet he throws 35 TD's.
Take Megatron away from Stafford and you get what he was at Georgia to begin with. Inconsistent and a slow starter.

Rams still have a lot of issues to address the o-line.
It seems they fixed the defense in the draft, well atleast got the talent too.
Brian QUick to me is a huge risk and if they were going to draft a #1 WR based on potential, Stephen Hill would have been the better selection, not Quick.
It's tough to evaluate the QBs because Stafford had only played 1 full season under his belt and he was phenomenal. But then again, many can make the argument he has Megatron, hands down the best WR in the NFL and maybe ever when all is said and done.
Joe Flacco gets a lot of crap on this board, but he's been to 2 AFC Title games and they should have been in the Super Bowl this past year. Not his fault Lee Evans drops a very catchable TD pass.
If you ask me, the rankings are:
1. Stafford
1. Flacco
3. Matt Ryan
4. Josh Freeman
5. Cam Newton
6. Andy Dalton
7. Sam Bradford
8. Mark Sanchez.
To be Determined until I see some NFL action:
1. Andrew Luck
2. Robert Griffin III
3. Ryan Tanehill
I know I'll get flack for having Cam behind Freeman, but Cam isn't going to be able to run all over defenses again this year. I made that prediction that he'll get away with that in year 1, but year 2 is the real test when defenses will spy him to make him more of a pocket passer, same with what they did with Vince Young. Newton will not run for 12-14 TDs this year. Defenses will not allow that.

dude cmon... Freeman deserves to be at the bottom of the list with bradford and sanchez. Maybe if he has a bounce back season you can place him that high again but his last year was horrid. save any excuses.
