This is a blow, because he was that speed back to take the run past the second level with quickness.
Any links?

Robert Bolden is going to transfer. Sucks. I thought he had great potential, but his confidence is shot.

He needs to get out of there. First Newsome now Bolden, tells me something is up with that program aside from the scandal.

Bolden shouldn't have sucked. They wanted Newsome to play another position, but he wanted to play QB. That's why they transferred. If you lose your job to Matt ******* McGloin, you deserve to transfer.

Honestly, looking at those pictures, seems like an NCAA violation waiting to happen.

Bolden just sucked...plain and simple. Couldn't hack it as a QB at the collegiate level.

Isn't that the third time he's done this? He doesn't seem emotionally/mentally stable.

Yeah, he's done this quite a bit. His confidence is shot. Good kid, crappy head.

Doesnt surprise me, he deserves a shot somewhere and with guys like Kessler and Max Brown coming in behind Bark it's not looking like he'll get a shot.

Brian Bobek, C, is transferring from Ohio State to Minnesota. Pretty decent of Urban to allow him to transfer intra-conference, but I guess Minnesota isn't much of a threat to OSU.
Unfortunately, he loses a season because the Big Ten has a stupid rule where you lose a year if you transfer within the conference. Why they thought this was a good idea I haven't a clue.

It's better than the old rule that a player can't be on scholarship at all after transferring within the conference, but not by much. Also, Ohio State and Minnesota don't play each other again until 2015.

The saga of Tom Savage has finally reached it's conclusion. He will be transferring to Pitt. Unfortunately he will only have a year of eligibility in 2013:
http://www.cbssports.com/collegefoot...nsfers-to-pitt
The NCAA screwed him over on transfer rules IMO. I am glad they are addressing the broken BCS with a playoff but I think transfers and eligibility also need to be reformed. Instead of having to sit out a year just make sure they meet a certain GPA criteria (ex. have to carry a 3.0) rather than making them waste a year of their college career.
edit: I am also surprised PSU did not make more of a push for him after losing out on the Danny O'Brien sweepstakes.

Savage is not going to have much to offer to any team after sitting for all this time.
