At long last, I've decided to start watching Friday Night Lights. Not sure why I never really wanted to watch it previously, but it never seemed overly appealing.
Two episodes into Season 1, I'm not exactly hooked. I've got some gripes about it, the most significant one being the really strange cinematography. Not a fan of the roaming, often shaky, camera with jarring jumps around the room. It doesn't really fit the type of show it is.
But I'll keep watching.

It gets better.
Is anyone else going to give the Hatfields & McCoys miniseries a try?

Parts of LOST?
That's a problem.

It's my token response, but that's only because it's right. The Wire and/or The Shield.

For everyone seeking a show to watch, I'd still recommend "The Hour," which aired on BBC and BBC America.
Not sure if it's still on Comcast OnDemand, but it was not too long ago. It's only 6 episodes for the first season, but it got renewed for more.

I also try to get people to watch The Shield to no avail. Such a great show. Has anybody else been watching Girls? It is kind of ******* amazing. Apparently Donald Glover will be in season 2.

\No it isn't, watching parts will you give you the same resolutions to most of your questions as finishing the series so don't worry about that unless your invested in what happens to the characters. Also seasons 5 and 6 are the worst.

I'm waiting to catch up on Girls and Veep until after my Summer semester ends. Also, TACKLE is apparently joining our 4 member club of people who watched The Shield, so that's good.

They answered everything that was necessary to answer. I won't get into this debate for the umpteenth time on these forums, but leaving some of the mysteries unanswered leaves room for personal opinion and speculation. It's far more satisfying this way.

Curb, Louie, and Arrested Development all have to be included on any god tier. Six Feet Under is one show I feel gets constantly underrated.

Also, I started watching HIMYM from the beginning on Netflix as a short distraction ever now and then, and it's alright for what it is. Sans Ted, Ted is an insufferable human being and he's even worse than I thought by just watching random episodes here and there.

I really enjoyed the first 3 seasons and then I just found the show got progressively worse. Every now and then there will be an episode I enjoy but it is pretty awful now. Jason Segal is just so ******* awesome and I really do like Marshall as a character (mostly). Of course NPH kills it every episode (mostly) as well. I read somewhere that Segal really wishes he could have gotten out of his contract so he didn't have to do the show any more. I can't blame him.

Replace Louie with Firefly on Brodeur's list and I would take that. Get your depressing comedy out of here.

Yes, replace an amazing comedy/outlook on life show with Whedon's worst.
